Umm,, its for EVERY GAME. I don't know why you guys are bashing EA every time. They did some mistakes with Simcity, MoH and online DRM once. They can shut down studios and do whatever they want to maintain profit. Gamers should not care about that as long they get good games, which EA is providing every year.

If you are expecting AAA/Online game for $20+$20, then keep calm and go back to caves.

No one is bashing EA, it is their pricing policy.

International price you say, huh! Did you not provide that CiS key-site to Piper when he asked where he could get bundle for $70?

Joe there is a difference between raising a valid point of debate than simply bashing a game. I did not say BattleField is bad, haven't put enough hours to come to that conclusion but yes not my game for sure. I can understand price-parity, $ :₹ ratio is shot to hell but ~133% price hike. -_-

In the end, was considering getting BattleField but $103 -->$70 is just not the price I would pay for a game without any community support and it is not like I am stopping any body from purchasing the game.

Your reaction now was as if a satirist is worthy of being penalised for brining out the truth.

Check again? I linked Piper EU version, not CIS.

It's EU -> Region free -> Multi language -> $40

CIS is $30 and region restricted.

How much were you expecting BATTLEFIELD 4 to be? 1499 INR ~ 23 USD? Even Russians don't get that amount of bargain.

Also, what kind of community support?

Battlefield community is vast and filled with mature people (not 12y kids you find in CoD section) who help out each-other when possible. They don't rage quit or shout at you in-game or send you message about your family nor threaten you.

Really, you should give another try at Battlefield.

Not really, I'm just tired of people who keep targeting EA without proper reason. Bash Simcity (online DRM), MoH (failed to provide proper gameplay, bad MP), NFS (lot of fans are were not okay with MW 2012, no idea what they are expecting.. UG3? Not happening), ME3 (broken ending). etc..They made mistake in those games, not in BF.

Battlefield price is fair and square.

Peace.

The .ru extension and payment in Roubles made me think it is a CiS site.

If it is not, apologies.

₹2500/- would not have been bad. It is de-facto price that Bethesda games release and they get decent sales, BattleField will obviously get more thanks to awareness and popularity.

The same community you trumpet in the SKYRIM thread.

No one is talking about the mean-age of the community and a community is more than just YouTube channels about quick-scoping and shooting, scooting (irrespective of BattleField or CoD). It is about active feed-back, MOD's and developer interest. EA and DICE have made sure that the latter is dead.

No, paying for map packs, no matter under how glitzy a sheen they are put under.

And seriously the PREMIUM that EA wants you to buy is the most stupid premium ever. Priority on servers that they don't run, no servers in our vicinity (just talking about India). Maps that a MOD group would have made (and updated).

Not really, I'm just tired of people who keep targeting EA without proper reason. There are bugs that I hear that are so oft-quoted time and again even in BattleField 4 previews that I fail to understand what is not a mistake that they have not made. Shotguns that could reach half-way across the map, seriously. -_-

Maybe for you the price is fair, for me it is inane.

While we're at it, lets all blame companies like Ferrari, Audi, Vertu for their high priced cars. If good games cost more, then maybe it is not such a bad thing. Quality > quantity. These games are not COD type of repetitive bs.

The way I see it, games like FIFA, Battlefield, Titanfall each will account for many gaming hours by a lot of people who buy them. So in a way these few games will cover up the high price. But not most of the other games which are seeing price hike.

Say a game like Arkham Origins was to cost 3499 I would not buy it day 1 as I would be spending very few hours on it. I would buy it later once discounted. But good MP titles are day1 buys due to timing, after all you don't want to be lagging behind everybody else in that game online.

Also, we are now used to of paying Rs. 1499 for AAA PC gaming titles (GTA4 cost 499 at launch IIRC...). Despite this "now acceptable" price tag, would most folk be willing to pay the same for a game like Binding of Isaac 2?

An example of how pricing need not pinch : The Battlefield 3 Premium Edition cost more than 3k but Game4U had a crazy sale where it was sold for around 800 rupees. The point is, people will definitely have the option of buying the game(s) for lesser price thanks to Steam sales, retailer-specific sales, holiday season and such.

So chill and start ordering games when you need to play them. Gaming bhi karni hai aur wo bhi saste mein...

Problem is BattleField 4 will not feature on STEAM, so you really your options are limited and G4U well less said is better.

Also, can you look at the time lapse between game release and sale.

Okay, I don't want to ruffle feathers but why are you guys, PC guys who generally go around thumping chests MOD support on multi-platform titles (that feature it) become coy when it comes to BattleField and CoD?

Do you seriously buy into the stupid argument that DICE and EA have put up about the community or are you just too meek to stand up and call a spade a spade?

While we're at it, lets all blame companies like Ferrari, Audi, Vertu for their high priced cars. If good games cost more, then maybe it is not such a bad thing. Quality > quantity. These games are not COD type of repetitive bs.

Why did you buy the Galaxy Note2 instead of the Galaxy S Grand Sire?

These analogies do not work. Also, given a chance AUDI, Ferrari don't penalise you for modifying the car as you see fit, they certainly don't call you dumb and lock you out of option for the same. -_-

Edit: I leave this thread, hopefully never to return but these unprecedented and unopposed decisions will haunt us all. And as Joe put it,

EA won, let's move on.

Guys, not sure where to post this but need a little info.

I bought the Steam/Origin Humble Bundle and would like to redeem the steam keys only. However I don't have enough traffic left in my account to download those massive titles. So is there a way I can just redeem the codes and download later?...how do I do that if possible?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Joe cool

So I just enter the codes in the steam client and click 'cancel' at the step where it asks you for a location to download right??

Not redeeming bf3,sims or ds3 btw.

Yes. Redeem -> cancel at download window.

Check your Steam library when you plan to download the game.

Select the game -> Install.

Currently $70 is cheapest price you can find on internet for BATTLEFIELD 4 + Premium pack.

$40 for BATTLEFIELD 4

$30 for Premium

Not bad, not bad at all.

(lets see if I find something under $50-60 for both).

Do let me know also .
