Fps of beta drivers + 10% = fps of final release. Sounds right?

So will know for real how current rig holds up, in another three weeks.

It is a good rule of thumb. Although always should be prepared for surprises.

That figure is based off the BF3 beta benchmarks vs those of final release.

If you have a look at BF4 alpha benchmarks, then my card will give me a solid 11FPS (yes, 11). Let's see how much beta has improved.

Is BattleField 4 based on the same technology and engine as 3 or has it been radically altered? All depends on that in the end.

And a 10% improvement over 11 fps is not very heartning.

I mentioned alpha (pun unintended) benchmarks, they are abysmally low (especially when you consider the official system requirements).

We can expect Indian servers for BF4. Look what Battlelog turned up today :

I had a ping of 27ms in the server  .
Funny that India is listed under Europe. Didn't know we moved to another continent.

PC being the lead platform for Battlefield 4 and all of DICE’s Frostbite engine based games has been optimized for the PC hardware. The settings show that gamers on 1080P screens would be able to enjoy the game with a sub-$250 US GPU such as the recommended Radeon HD 7870 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 with 2 GB VRAM and 3 GB if you want to play on higher details and resolution of 2560×1440/2560×1600 for a more premium experience. The CPU recommended for running the game in max details require an Intel Quad Core and AMD Six Core CPUs. This means that an Intel Sandy Bridge based chip would be enough to run the game with maxed out details since Battlefield games have always put the load on the GPU more than the CPU. On the AMD side, anything from a good old Phenom (six core) or AMD’s FX-6000 range would be able to run the game fine.

We use DX11.1, there are some optimizations in it (constant buffer offsets, dynamic buffers as SRVs) that we got in to the the API that improves CPU performance in our rendering when one runs with DX11.1. This will be in BF4.” DICE

Overall, the game looks absolutely great and would be optimized for PC hardware at launch and a bit exclusively for AMD hardware. Battlefield 4 launches for PC on 29th October 2013.

It was revealed that the next generation consoles have graphics which are comparable to medium settings on the PC version and run at native 720P resolution upscaled to 1080P delivering 60 FPS.

Don't get too excited about dedicated servers hosted here. Not a single BF (or any game for that matter) server has lasted more than a few months here before it gets abandoned by both the community and the people running it.

There need to be servers with different game modes on each. Whether EA sponsored or private. Otherwise only a few players are regulars.

If only a handful of servers come up, they should have conquest and TDM/DOM modes so people fav them and play regularly on those.

Our clan has a few NA servers and we need to often work to get them populated.

Also, ping is king. If folks from nearby regions get low pings on the Indian servers, then it will be worth EA's while.

This Indian server is by two clans judging by the changed name. But yest it was full of kids jabbering bullshit on chat. I kept asking who is owner, who is host company, how to host. Example :

Q. Server kiska hai?

A. Randiyo ka

Honestly, I've played with lot of people online (American, British, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Australians, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Jew and more) and found that playing with Indians (public, not IVG people) is worst. They literally have zero respect when it comes to online gaming, talks buttload of sh*t, non-helpful, doesn't play as a team, etc.

OT: If you guys want server, why not chip in few bucks and host it? Just keep it to IVG users (and not public sh*t-heads).

Will do once BF4 servers hosting is available. Can anyone find how to get Indian BF3 server, cost, etc.
