Yeah map looks crappy post destruction of that building, people should stop destroying it :nono:

There is no tactical value in the pile of rubble at the centre. With the tower up, it is easier to spawn and then mobilise towards other points.

I played it for a while but still struggling to spot the players and killing them with assault rifle, my KD ratio really sucks in BF4 in comparison to BFBC2, but still its fun to play and yes people should not destroy the sky scrapper as it takes the fun to make a dive from the top.

one more thing i usually got killed suddenly and it states "Killed in action", now WTF is this?

Killed in action is if you got killed, say for e.g., due to the skyscraper falling on you :P!

Normally if you already have teams camping on top of the scraper aiming at the lifts, then you have no option but to bring the sky scraper down else you lose too many tickets trying to capture it!!

This time, the beta appears to be for load testing only. Not for giving folks a "demo" of the final game. This is completely opposite of what they did with BF3 beta when PC guys had a free run at Metro and Caspian (it eventually led to those being the most popular maps by far even till date, but that's another story).

I've played two matches in BF3 since the BF4 beta came out. Both on different days, game modes and maps. In both I got MVP B) .

Co-ordinate a strike on the tower, use a helicopter borne assault + attackers from the ground to attack in tandem or is that too much to expect in a 'team-driven' game?

I think it is too hard because I have rarely see that happen.

That is indeed too much to expect from a team-driven game that splits the team into 5-man squads. Especially when the easiest (and probably the best) approach is to bring down the building.

Splitting a team into 5 man squads with poor communication systems. You forgot that bit.

It is not difficult but yes after typing out that post I realised that I have to judge this game differently from what I expect out of it.

It's possible if you play with platoon and platoon members alone, where entire team plays as a 'team' with proper communication and not just hit & run.

Don't expect any such thing in public server with random people.

Which is what I meant when I edited my post.

It helps to have a good squad (or two) who can communicate with each other. I've played games where just me and GOW would swing the battle around. Even on Metro. Until I started playing DOM, my W/L ratio was 4 (i.e. 80% of the matches I played, my side won). All because I am always objective oriented. I see a capture point, I run for it. If I am flanking, I ignore enemies as shooting will reveal my position. The point : yes this is a team-oriented game. But does it need an entire team to win a game. Hell, no!

Joe's point is 100% valid. Expecting all the people on a random public server to be PTFO is asking too much. In such matches, 90% of the players want kills and points. Only a handful will be focussed on the objective. But you will always find those players, man. In every game. Squad up with those players and enjoy.

You are judging based on the participants in a beta. Which is just about anyone with a capable PC. Filter by people who will actually pay money for the game. Now filter by people who will play conquest large (not TDM/DOM). And you will have team driven effort aplenty.

Seeing as you are disappointed in the beta thus far, all I can tell you is : Battlefield games provide you with every kind of FPS experience. Quick action to long drawn out battles, lol moments to epic moments. I can tell you to look on YT for Hazard Cinema's top battlefield plays... those episodes make for excellent watching and inspiration.

Pretty much. Even one good squad can change the tide of the game if they're good. But expecting the other players not to bring down that building would be too much. :P
