Grid 2

All you guys cribbing about Grid 2, obviously have never played Grid 1. Handling is the same. To turn you have to drift. That's how the mechanics work. They never called this game a GT5 clone. So deal with it. NFS Shift was good too. No one is denying that. But the comparision ends there. This game is all about the drama and the excitement of racing. It never said that it was achieving to a be a sim racer.

Just get used to the handling, and see the game get better as the races progress. This is the most fun I've had in a racing game since Grid 1. The essence is the same, and the racing is the same.

Well I was not able to complete the first race in top 3 even after 6-7 tries. Very steep learning curve here. Game is neither arcade nor sim. I am sticking to Forza Horizon, it has way better and customizable handling. Grid 1 also had steep learning curve, but since I had nothing else to play, I learnt the controls and managed to win quite a few races. Still it was tough. Not going through that again.

Maybe I will agree with the steep learning curve. You have to master the drift to turn mechanics. If you feel that the Mustang you were in was tough, Wait till you get a Subaru Impreza hatch. I can't being to understand why this car slides all over more than a muscle car.

But I am telling you again, once you learn the mechanics, it's a lot of fun. Each car and each race is a joy. The engine noises are pristine, and I love the handling of the VW golf. Best hatch for racing....ever.

MP is a big pain in the a*s. Lots and lots of noobs ping ponging from one car to the other. Always have to deal with a first corner crash with a bunch of cars banging into my car's behind.

I just want a bit of peaceful racing. If anyone here is playing on PS3, please add me for a bit of MP fun. Id is bharat4ever

Its not as difficult as you are making it sound like. I'd suggest you to lower the difficulty till you get a hang of the driving and increase it if you feel the challenge is lower than your skil.

Rock use the rewind/replay feature. Ofcourse you'll get frustrated without it. There's no penalty if you use it. The agression of the AI can only be countered with rewind, if not by exceptional driving skills. Use the 2nd pulled back third person view thats further away from the car so you can see the road ahead better.

USE REWIND!

PC: Grid 2′s community patch will introduce mod support

“We’ve decided to assist these players by adding some basic support to the game that allows modified data and when enabled the game will now save your progress,” write Codemasters. “Please note that the save file is separate to the one used by the unmodified game and online play, leaderboards, achievements and RaceNet functionality will all be disabled to protect the integrity of the main game.

“This is our first step into supporting mods and it’ll be a learning process for us. So we’ll be looking to get your feedback along the way and we’ll make improvements over time where possible. When the tools are at your disposal, do let us know what you think. Above all else we look forward to seeing what you create.”

The blog post goes on to clarify that Steam Workshop support won’t immediately be available, but that it’s something the team are “discussing”.
