mango_man
Buy now and using the how to apply guide I have linked earlier apply on your system. everything goes right, you can use the same tube for 3 -->5 more applications. cool thanks man P.S. On another note, could you guide me a bit on PC cooling? I dont know jack sh*t about it... Should I invest in an heat sink? (i suppose heat sink is basically the cpu fan right? Will the heat sink cool only CPU, or does it cool GPU too? If not then how to cool the GPU? And what are basic prices on heat sink and cabinet fans? Just need an idea.. thanks repped
ALPHA17
Should I invest in an heat sink? (i suppose heat sink is basically the cpu fan right? No, heat-sink is the general term picked up for the purpose. The CPU Heat Sink Fan is the most commonly recommended cooling equipment in an assembled RIG thus the name stuck to that. Other wise such packages are available for GPU's, RAM, hard-drives (certain cases) and so on. There are 'passive' heat-sinks on the motherboard as well because the components do not generate sufficient heat to warrant an 'active' solution. The CPU HSF package is an active cooling solution because it has a fan which 'actively' cycles fresh air to cool the components more efficiently, same with the GPU cooler. RAM with the tall heat-spreaders are passively cooled. If you get a cooler for your CPU it will only cool that part, not the GPU but it might improve the RAM's condition under circumstances. What are the current temperatures of your CPU. Use Real Temp and Core Temp to monitor and post results. Depending on that I can recommend whether you need a third-party cooler or no. Also, for warranty purpose's don't loose your stock HSF which you got in the CPU box. Basics of cooling inside a cabinet depend on the fans you have installed and how they move the air. Positive Air Pressure: More air being pulled in than being pushed out. Negative Air Pressure: More air being thrown out than being pushed in. For more on the same, head here. How many fans do you have currently in your case? What size and how are they oriented? Depending on that you can determine the air pressure situation in your cabinet and depending on your other components you will have to choose the air-pressure orientation of your cabinet. Hope this helps, Cheerio!

Hope this helps, Cheerio! 1. cpu fan 2 & 3. GPU inbuilt fans 4. blows air out 5 & 6. intake fans there is a 7th too which i forgot.. its the PSU fan facing downwards under the PSU (dont know if its intake or it blows out) So, basically all these fans either came default with the cabinet (corsair carbide 400r) or individual parts If you know my cabinet, there is space to add 5 more fans on top of these two facing upwards on the top of the cabinet.. two spaces on the left side of the cabinet and one beside the PSU in the bottom.. (i think they support 120mm as well as 140mm.. not sure tho) I dont know my CPU or GPU temps nor do I know what normal temps are in general... I'll use those apps and check. piper
Shelke baba, just get any TIM paste, will work fine. If rig is used for CPU intensive tasks for long period of time (e.g. video encoding) then keep a close watch on load temperatures. Otherwise shouldn't be too much of an issue. Post CPU load temps here. Some software can depict the data as a graph as well, easier to analyse.

I'll use those apps and check. You only have 3 fans on your system that circulate airflow for it as a whole. The internal fans do not count because they do not bring in air, they use the air the other three fans bring to cool the components attached to them. They in-fact add to your problems because they dump the air and that has to be expelled outside the cabinet. The SMPS fan is exclusive to the same, it does not interact with the cabinet apart for the ambient temperature of the same which dictates the efficiency of its operation. The fan brings in fresh air and the hot air is ejected via the honeycomb rear. The fans that you have currently on the cabinet (two forward, one at rear) are bundled along with the cabinet. Use HWMonitor to check your internal temperatures, although because this is a software keep a margin of error. There can be mistake in reporting of temperatures due to faulty calibration, placement of temperature sensors on the components themselves. Try to use multiple software to check and verify the reported temperatures. Get 2 x120mm fans (Cooler Master SickleFlow's / Bit Fenix Spectre's) and add them either pulling in air from the side panel with a dust filter (jugaad) or expelling the air from top like so, Hope this helps, Cheerio! thatbrowndude
No increase in performance, this is not calcium or Vitamin B supplements you are feeding your laptop. This will keep the temperatures in line, thereby improving the stability and longevity of the laptop. Nothing more. You might notice smoother frame rates as well because of lower temperatures and concurrently lesser throttling of performance. What GPU do you have in the laptop? Reasonable temperatures according to me. Check out these options @flipkart. GTX 765m. Did some research online. CM X2 seems to be the best option in the budget. Alright so I was just checking out the Cooler Master Sickleflow and they are good. But then I googled and found out that I cant turn off their LED! I dont like bright LED's ON all the time... no switch? no way to turn them off? What about the Bitfenix ones? I would like to have the LED's but with a switch or easy jugaad to turn them off when i want! Please suggest... Also, if i get two fans, should i install both for intake on the side? Or one intake on the side and one on top for blowing hot air out? And how to make those jugaad dust filters, cant I order some online? Thanks in advance :* P.S. I have been using core temp app to log my temperatures since yesterday and should give you the results by later tonight i guess.. i must say though that my TJ MAX is 105 degrees and the temperatures were touching and staying at 105 degrees constantly when i was playing BF4 last night for an hour or so... (on idle the temps are between 35-45 degrees) (remember i dont have a thermal paste on my cpu since yesterday and i have never evaluated cpu temps before.. so i dont know how much the absence of a thermal paste is affecting the temps.. may be the temps were better before.. cant be sure until i get a thermal paste n check temps again) My gpu temperature on the othr hand (checked via AMD CCC app) stays at around 70 to 90 degrees when playing BF4. Otherwise at around 30-40 degrees when idle. I must add that my room isnt all that well ventilated. And the PC is in a corner(cant move ifavors t anywhere else). AC is always ON but i keep it at a humanly favorable temperature so dont know if the room temp favors the machine.

And how to make those jugaad dust filters, cant I order some online? Use both fans for the same work, either both intake or both exhausting air. For jugaad dust filters, take any nylon vegetable bags that you get at Reliance Fresh / lifestyle chains cut them up and put them with the fans that pull in air. Go through this thread and the post your RIG thread, Piper and I have uploaded pictures of our set-up. Just post screen shots of the same, also, double check with other software like HWMonitor. If possible keep the PC, away from the walls, 1 foot of distance or more would be appreciated. What temperatures do you run the A/C at and is it on at this time of the year as well?
mango_man
Thanks... already ordered Arctic silver 5 from Primeabgb. Now please tell me which of these coolers should I get.. (if both are same then i'll like to buy the pure black without led ones cuz they match my cabinet more) http://www.flipkart.com/bitfenix-spectre-black-120-mm-cooler/p/itmdg23t3auhwjgf?pid=COLDG23SVCBJ3UWE&otracker=from-search&srno=t_28&query=Cooler&ref=8298d86d-cb03-4f40-8931-186a5ec2a3a1 http://www.flipkart.com/bitfenix-spectre-white-led-120-mm-cooler/p/itmdh788yfj9r8fm?pid=COLDH787GMUSNZB5&otracker=from-search&srno=t_4&query=BitFenix+Spectre&ref=4346a938-9f3d-4ec9-a997-76ada9a1db42 the white (or blue) led ones are transparentish and not too good looking if the leds are off (which is how i am mostly gonna use these) -Also, I dont need a special heat sink cooler for my CPU? If yes, then will there be space for both these fans on the side of my cabinet for intake along a cooler on cpu? -And, how do i connect these fans? DOnt know what 3pin or 4pin is.. read this random jargon on the webz n got confused also read that these bitfenix spectre coolers dont supply with 4 pin converter.. if my guess is right, i can only spot two '3 pin points' on my motherboard both of which are already taken..one by cpu stock cooler and one by the backside facing cooler... so errr.. am a bit confused.. -Also, read somewhere that if connected to motherboard these run quiet.. and if connected to PSU directly then they run by default on full speed and thus make sound... so, CONFUSED. No you don't need anything extra, unless you are getting really high temperatures even with these fans circulating air. There should be space for Cooler Master Hyper 212X class cooler. Directly to SMPS, they won't be linked to the temperatures so they shall run full blast. These fans aren't very noisy, don't worry. Yeah! Bombay definitely has better weather than us on plains, so that should help as well. And an A/C maintaining 24°C ambient in the room is great, with proper ventilation your graphic card temperatures would plummet even more.

Instantly or I'd assume after a drying period of a few mins?
