WORST PRE-ORDER BONUS

They'll sell as DLC after release..We have to pay $$$ for fighting moves

How is this actually " WORST PRE-ORDER BONUS " ? If you couldn't get the reference , those moves are off Street FIghter character specials. Guile , Chun-Li and Fei Long. Dontnod wanted these specially as a fan service to SF as a large portion of people who'd be interested in this game / genre would be the FG community , and the most always look for new movesets. This is a genre that's heavy on combat ( even for a western developer ) and not many do it right this gen , or even exist come to think of it. Those 3 pressens , when experimented in the combo lab with some high level mixups and ending with any of those would look amazing. Pretty sure these won't be unlockable in the main game but rather be available as a purchase at a later point.. But every high profile title / publisher does that these days , in even worse ways possible.

A higher difficulty setting as a pre-order bonus ? Let me pour some salt water , Capcom gives this for free in EVERY one of its high profile IP's since the early 90's. So does Konami , SEGA , Tecmo and LOL , even Acti.

How is this different from Remember Me's ? All that matters is that it's an in-game redeem , and MOST games with hype or a pub that does marketing right uses this.

let them sell the moves as paid dlc. then you complain.

srsly people are just waiting for a reason to whine these days. . Also Many of Capcom previous pre order bonuses were sold as Free DLC after a few months like SFxTekken gems dlc.

Also how is this the worst ever? So many games have sold weapons and armor as dlc? in fact the great elder scrolls that started dlc did it with horse armor :P . Heck theres even DLC music and sh*t lol.

and lool at ea giving away in game points as pre order dlc. cant beat ea.

Yea this doesn't even come close to being the most egregious pre-order offer around. I think Metro has that one locked down for now. Hiding a harder difficulty behind DLC is just insidious.

While we're on the subject of Capcom and DLC, explain this one to me - http://store.steampowered.com/app/236080/

Steam.

Usually all pre-orders are later sold as DLC..You just have to wait and see it for yourself :)

(no offense, just my personal opinion that selling moves, hard difficultly is just pathetic).

I find it interesting that the producers of this game made quite a bit of noise about fighting the good fight and maintaining their creative integrity by casting a female as the lead protagonist when many publishers apparently opposed the idea, but then they go ahead and make the most cliched a*s shot cover you can imagine.

Anyway the trailer is pretty intriguing. The atmosphere and ideas behind the game seem to be more interesting than most games these days... but what I'm worried about though is that the gameplay will let the rest of the game down.

Yeah I was put off by the cover too. However box arts are always pandering to the frat crowd. Look at Bioshock Infinite.

Dark Horse to publish The Art of Remember Me

ml1X2pp.jpg

Capcom has revealed that Dark Horse will be publishing The Art of Remember Me, a full colour 184-page hard cover illustrating the universe of Dontnod Entertainment’s third-person multiplatform action-adventure title. Set for release on 15 May, the book is available for pre-order at around $39.99 (this may vary according to your choice of retailer and any associated discounts).

Interesting!

Take a look at the video above. You'll see a third-person action game that has some standard platforming and some basic combat (with a tiny twist). Don't fret! The stars of the game appear to be its attractive future-Paris setting and its concept of remixing people's memories. I captured a little bit of all of that last night off of a preview build of the game's first full level.

Publisher Capcom restricted me to about 10 minutes of video for the level and just two minutes of the unusual "memory remix" gameplay. That's too bad. The memory remix would make more sense if you could see it in full, but, for some reason they're holding that back. Maybe because there are only a handful of them in the game?

If it's not clear, in a memory remix scene, you see a scene play out. What you're seeing is a character's memory, one you want to change. Then you can rewind and tweak the scene and see how it plays out with those tweaks. Making the right changes will transform the memory into something more favorable. Kotaku video editor Chris Person pointed out that it's a little like Capcom's Ghost Trick. Sure, I can see that.
