Are we really independent? Of what -- speech, education, sanitation and basic human rights?

Wish India from dogma, illiteracy, moral terrorism, corrupt politics, caste/creed/religion based divisions, and people like you and me and entire media who sit back, discuss having beer and do nothing for it.

The things I hate about India is Forking reservations in everything (specially in education) :ranting: , corruption. The things I am proud......I dont and cant think of any tbh. :scratchchin:

Maybe because you belong to general category? :scratchchin:

Talk to those people who have these rights. They constitute about 70% population of India and still get a reservation of about 50% (not sure)..

Currently, we are World's 10th biggest economy. last year we surpassed japan's economy..By year 2030, we will be the third largest economy of the world , by 2045 we will be 2nd surpassing US's economy and in year 2050 we will be world's biggest economy surpassing China's economy as well..You still say we are nothing much in this world? :wink2::dwarf:

Yes I am but I am from a middle class family, I dont mind the reservations in other things like jobs etc. But why in education? If you have talent then you must get good. Its my personnel experience.....Yeah, as per BR Ambedkar its absolutely right from his experiences and the troubles he had gone through. But when he wrote about the constitution he has mentioned about it only fro 50 years. 50 years gone but still we have them. I have many friends from rich families but they are minority. But still they got good seats in education, good jobs even though I got good rank in entrance exams. Like I said I dont mind in other things but not in education.

Deteriorating condition of the state makes me less and less proud about it.

To be frank, we have failed as a nation.

+1

And dude why would you compare to China? Look at Greece , Serbia even Estonia is much better than India. If you are being religious and comparing Economy.

And honestly saying there is nothing to be proud to be an Indian. Fail Government, Corruption everywhere and Money has taken over everything.

Most of us belong to middle class families bro :)

You can't call reservation a drawback in our constitution , it's a need of the hour. Instead you should point out at corruption which gives a certificate of minority even to people belonging to creamy layer

what don't you look at our population.. we are 10 times japan's population and hence when we surpassed japan's economy, an average Indian gets only about 1/10th resources than an average Japanese.. the same will happen when we surpass US and even China's economy as they are controlling population and we are not

Also economy size is not a measure of human development ... If you be interested, India ranks 134 among 187 countries in terms of the human development index below a hell lot of countries you won't even believe ... so we are pretty much nothing in the world :good:

What I feel one and only reason responsible for all these things is CORRUPTION. each and every decision taken here is inspired by those f**king Politicians. :chair:

Our country is made up of individuals like us. That's why it's a country not a piece of land. So if your proud of yourself then collectively it will translate into us being proud of our nation.

If you have stayed in other countries then you would realise there are many aspects we overlook and take for granted here. We are not very prosperous but we are not in rags either.

I'm proud of my country. It's an awesome place.
