Yes I am but I am from a middle class family, I dont mind the reservations in other things like jobs etc. But why in education? If you have talent then you must get good. Its my personnel experience.....Yeah, as per BR Ambedkar its absolutely right from his experiences and the troubles he had gone through. But when he wrote about the constitution he has mentioned about it only fro 50 years. 50 years gone but still we have them. I have many friends from rich families but they are minority. But still they got good seats in education, good jobs even though I got good rank in entrance exams. Like I said I dont mind in other things but not in education.

true my my college principal who is from sc and trustee , said in one meeting which was held for dr babasaheb ambedkar jayanti, .

he asked the students , " for ex if a house servent or kaamwali daughter or son scored 50% in 12th and you scored 90% in 12 who should get seat in medical or any higher stream" , i knew what he was after , some my friends innocently told the one with 90% , he said wrong in angry mood .

Our country is made up of individuals like us. That's why it's a country not a piece of land. So if your proud of yourself then collectively it will translate into us being proud of our nation.

If you have stayed in other countries then you would realise there are many aspects we overlook and take for granted here. We are not very prosperous but we are not in rags either.

I'm proud of my country. It's an awesome place.

What is that economy you talk about? And what those figures give you?

You cant walk 100m without running into a pothole, cant sit 2 hrs without a powercut, cant drink water from any public fountain. You go to report a crime and get treatment that of a criminal, try finding a bite which is not filled with pesticides, pay taxes on money you make/spend/invest, and be one of those 4% peasants who make this country run. Harassments/molestations are free on every corner though.

I'm out, too bitter for this thread.

Proud to have corrupted Ministers and civilians

Proud to have a country full of unemployment

Proud to have corrupt police departments

Proud to be a citizen of a country which is considered one of the worst countries to be in

Proud to be a student of the worse education system

And much more that can't express

Most of us belong to middle class families bro :)

You can't call reservation a drawback in our constitution , it's a need of the hour. Instead you should point out at corruption which gives a certificate of minority even to people belonging to creamy layer

I just don't understand the concept of creamy layer. There will always be a relative creamy layer whatever measures you apply to rule people out .. If you rule people out based on income > x lakh/annum, there will always be ppl with income > x-1/yr who will take up all the seats :loco:

What about the large percentage of these minorities who don't even complete 12th class...why not put in a better schooling system .. Just coz that is difficult to do, we are running away and putting in reservation.

Secondly what about poor general category ppl... In this world, where money is everything, why not reservation on family's annual income instead of the current system as today if someone has money, she/he gets everything irrespective of the class she/he belongs ..

Just my thoughts :good:

the hour is finished and new day has begin , we need constitution.

i agree reservation for schedule tribes or poor in villages , not for those who stay in big flats in metros and go by cars and still call them selves backward , coz there forefathers suffered .

dude i have seen in my old building too , a nice upper middle class family in which there are 3 or 4 earners which earn 1.5 to 2lakhs a months , and still there younger daughter was given admission on basis coz she was she obc not on basis on merit

+1

And dude why would you compare to China? Look at Greece , Serbia even Estonia is much better than India. If you are being religious and comparing Economy.

And honestly saying there is nothing to be proud to be an Indian. Fail Government, Corruption everywhere and Money has taken over everything.

Are you talking about that Greece who has led whole Europe into financial crisis?

Another thread of armchair activists

If one really wants to make a difference then one should be prepared to come out and work for it. Join civil services, defense services, psu, govt rural medicos. Don't sit with your 6 figure mnc salary and wake twice a year to mudsling at the current affairs.

If nothing, then at lest vote.

Extremists be crazy ! Reservation is the most f**ked up rule EVER ! Govt teachers know they can do whatever they want, the reservation students know they can write whatever the f**k they want in the exams and will still get creamy seats than those who are 100% more intelligent than them. Literally f**ked up !

How i c india:

Economically n technologically : Year 2005

Socially: 10000 year BC

A country where the development seem to have surprised the population. On one side u have highly developped infracstrutures and on the other u have a population encraved in the depths of cultural discrimination, where u r categorized not by wut u bring up but by wut u look like.

And yeah sayin that as a foreigner

well said bro.

The point is we have more critics than we need and less people to work on those problems.

Also corruption. I do not understand why people complain. When you break a signal you bribe the traffic cop, register your home- undervalue your property, need a passport- bribe the officer etc etc... If people stop giving bribes that would be a nice first step towards killing corruption.
