Fallout 4 To Take Place in Boston?

Recommended Posts

According to recent reports from around the web, it looks like the next Fallout title could be heading to Boston. Internet users have supported this theory with claims that Bethesda has been doing a lot of research on Boston, and have recently been working on mapping out the city and the surrounding area. The studio apparently has connections with MIT, and the source that originally let this information slip “may or may not be an MIT employee,” and that saying anything more could result in he or she losing his or her job.

NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH CREATION ENGINE!Yep!

Fallout 4 is set in Massachusetts, home of The Institute, androids, freedom fighters - rumour"That's really all I can say for fear of losing my job.""The rumors are true, Fallout 4 will take place in Boston," wrote the said Friend of the People on Reddit. "In case you haven't heard, Bethesda has recently been scoping out and researching Boston. They also have a strong connection to MIT. I may or may not be an MIT employee. But that's really all I can say for fear of losing my job."He later added: "Apologies for the vagueness of this post. It's not just my job that worries me, but also getting the f**k sued out of me. Bethesda's contracts are basically full-proof [sic] so if they were to discover who I am, or rather, who I got this information from, a few people including myself could get into a lot of trouble."Another Reddit user, "nMarauder", chipped in with: "I've been hearing reports from people in the Boston area, where my fellow Fallout-obsessed brother lives, that Bethesda has been in the Boston area doing initial research for Fallout 4. It's highly speculative, but the main rumors surround Bethesda's connection to "The Institute", or what we call the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, or M.I.T."M.I.T., although in populated Cambridge and just across the river from Boston proper, still has a small-town feel when it comes to the way news propagates through the community," he went on. "It is students and staff at M.I.T. that seem to be the ones talking the most about it, and they would be in a position to know. I wouldn't be surprised, at all, if the rumors prove to be true in coming weeks."Just thought I'd share! I'm not confirming anything, but all signs point to yes.Bethesda has yet to announce, tease or indeed breathe the words "Fallout 4" in our hearing, which didn't stop Matt from writing not inconsiderable amounts on the subject in July. However shaky the sources, a Boston setting would make for a natural expansion of the series lore. In Fallout's post-apocalyptic America, the MIT has become the mysterious "Institute", a sealed-off, high technology organisation which specialises in the manufacture and exploitation of synthetic life. It's referenced in Fallout 3 and certain DLC packs, but has never (to my knowledge) appeared in-game. Also resident in Massachusetts are the Railroad, a guerrilla group dedicated to liberating androids from their owners, and the New England Commonwealth

Get Obsidian to make it please. Re-playing FNV and its such a significant cut above F3. And even Skyrim.

The quests are so much better in terms of design and choices offered. Ditto for the story.

  • 1 month later...

When i started playing this game(Fallout3) i was totally amazed and quickly adapted to the games survival. No one can describe that feeling.Since i'm quite new to the RPG at that point of time(before 6months),I really started loving this best RPG game.I loved the trading, looting part and VATS was awesome. It was very nice to explore the wasteland. But sadly there came a nightmare to these experiences,The frequent freezing problem in ps3,which caused my saves to corrupt and forced me to restart the game 4-5 times from vault to megaton missions(Moira). So nearly that experiences were killed and finally right now i'm settled with my pc fallout 3.

Expectations from Fallout 4:I hope bethesda wont create another shi* like new vegas.I hope you guys understand the outstanding varying experience between fallout 3 and new vegas.Everything is different in New vegas,The missions are childish,Gameplay did degrade and especially the areas and cities suck*d!.We must expect a brand new city quite similar to DC ruins setting and a hell a lot of main quests, which must be so interesting. As one guy said in this topic previously, yes the character must not die at the end for stupid things. The graphics must be more good than skyrim (Cause its 2014 when the games coming out).

P.S:Fallout 3 rocks in PC than ps3 because of the ultra maxed gfx.
