It's still in improving stage but CGI enables wide range of complex camera angles and more frame rate. They just need to allow little more budget and itl look great like fatezero and titans anime. Its ok for all those anime which dont have action scenes , but Stylized action scenes is what 2D anime is about. The deformations in the human body is what makes it look cool and adds to the effect. No idea why they want to go cel shaded here. It looks ugly in Video games (Part of the reason I prefer old DBZ BT games to Xenoverse) and it looks ugly here.
