Really sad. Rest in Peace Miura Sensei and thanks for an awesome manga.

Shows how stressful the life of a Mangaka is in Japan. He passed away due to acute aortic dissection (which means heart problems according to Google) at age 54 (and not Covid or anything) after putting the manga in hiatus.

How so? Pressure to create more?

Japanese people are generally workaholics. For a mangaka, pleasing their fans is more important than their own health. Although, I'm not sure how much of this applies here.

I apologize in advance.

For those who don't watch on *ahem* sites - Jujutsu Kaisen is up on Netflix. Highly recommend all anime action fans to watch it.

Seconded. Just that OP is enough for a recommendation.

Looking for recommendations - I have watched a lot of slice of life anime movies and the only series I have watched is Death Note but that's about it. I want to start something which is available on Netflix/Prime/Hotstar but don't want those huge sagas that stretch out for 100+ episodes. Something short like death note yet interestig with twists and turns. Is Steins Gate a good choice ?

Steins;Gate is really good.

But what I will recommend is - FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood. It has 60-something episodes, and is the highest rated show of all time.

If you want twists and turns, Attack on Titan is your best bet (and my personal favourite). But its not on netflix, and its not complete yet.

You can watch and join the hype for the final episodes coming this winter!

Too bad AoT is not anywhere. Have to watch through other means.

Started with FMA and almost done with first season. So far so good.

I didnt like Death Note much. It started off well but by the end, the story pretty much goes off rails and twists are introduced just for the sake of it.

Steins;Gate is real good. Hold patience till first 12 episodes and then everything escalates. You feel for the characters here because they do a bang up job to develop them in the initial slow episodes.

Also, check out Demon Slayer. It is a breezy series and has just started off with first season. The action sequences are well done. If you like it follow it up with the movie Mugen Train. Everything in the movie is a step up from the series.
