ΨΨ babloos ΨΨ
nope no anime, its similar to ippo, may be little realistic, but its dam hilarious Plot summary Kohinata Minoru is a college student at a college that is popular for its sports rather than academic orientation. Although he starts out as a gymnast alongside his friend, Nana, Minoru is bullied by the higher ranked gymnasts. One evening, a karate student at the college, Mutou Ryuuji, witnesses Minoru being bullied and comes to the rescue... but his intentions aren't to save Minoru, but to drag him into the world of karate. Minoru makes new friends and learns some of their dark pasts, including a shocking death that reveals motives for revenge
Keyofx
http://www.sbs.com.au/dateline/story/trans...ended-Animation Interesting. I know I'm buying fewer DVDs because of fewer decent shows coming out :/
Phoenix Wright
Most of that is BS. The industry most definitely is in trouble though, and studios are trying to offset the losses by making anime that sell loads of merchandise, which leads to "fewer decent shows", as you said. Noctis
Can't call it BS, its true that piracy is hurting the industry really badly. Low birth rate would also have its toll in the long run.
Nights
Yeah but privacy's been around for quite a while now so it's not really something new. If anything it's even helped raise anime popularity in the west Funny thing is, I think I read an article just like this a few years back too

Low birth rate would also have its toll in the long run. lol, you don't think the porn thing is BS? The Anime and Hentai industries have never mixed, you'll never see an anime studio making hentai. So the entire "shift to porn" thing is utterly hilarious. Not to mention, it's just the dude making random assumptions. And while it may be true that piracy's hurting the industry, the example he used and the way he tried to portray it just reeked of fail. Yeah, privacy's killing the anime, game, movie and music industries. Privacy is evil! Keep everyone under 24/7 surveillance!
Noctis
Hentai hurting the industry wtf I just read a bit of the article. Yeah, thats the usual stuff you see from western writers who will never understand Japanese culture.
Keyofx
Yea, that Anime/Hentai sh*t is a load of scare-mongering. You should have seen the segment on TV. Embarrassing stuff. What I wanted to highlight was just how bad a state the industry is in. @neko: I've been reading stuff like this for the past couple of years too. Noctis
I also find it funny how the western writers use Rapelay at every single article to generalize Japanese devs. And I still don't understand whats the big deal in having rape in a game when murder, torture and stuff in GTA/Manhunt etc. are absolutely fine. Nights
Isn't it because the west is more cool with violence than sex? The total opposite of Japan where they turned the blood in the JP MK2 release green :v

Also funny how they only seem to have discovered it NOW As for your second comment though, I doubt we'll ever be able to rationalise why one is worse than the other. I suspect leaving the victims alive to deal with the assault(s) may have something to do with it.

Phoenix Wright
I thought this spring season was going to be a load of crap, but I'm really enjoying it. Watching: - Angel Beats! - Working!! - Giant Killing - Kaichou wa Maid-sama - Major S6 - Ookiku Furikabutte S2 - B gata H Kei All these shows have been really good, with the exception of B Gata H Kei, which is epic lulz in its own twisted way. Working has NO right to be anywhere near as awesome as it is - it's only a 4koma adaptation. Take notes, K-On. Not to forget, FMA and Naruto are reaching some pretty epic points in their stories. Also I've seen FMA like 4 years back.....Is it the same or something else.....the same story with Edward and Alphonse right? which stage is it in? Have they started for the philosopher's stone?
