Big Boss Posted September 2, 2012 Report Share Posted September 2, 2012 Okay so after few weeks of Xbox and PC gaming with Xbox 360 controller, I tried playing on PS3 today, and frankly, the PS3 controller absolutely and positively SUCKS for shooters and racers. And as I dont give a crap about Fighting genre, 360 controller is by far the superior controller and I cant play my PS3 without that. Now I realized why my hands pained after prolong PS3 gaming sessions, because the controller is too damn tiny for me. I can game on Xbox and PC without any issues. So, this has been asked earlier I guess, but the search feature of this site is so awesome that it makes Bing look like an absolute gem of a search engine, so I am creating a new topic. I want to know a controller just like a 360 one which will work fine on PS3. I have read about Cronus adapter, but it is not available in India readily. If someone knows how to get that, let me know. I think the latest version is 2.2. But it is very expensive. I was planning to buy one, but after looking at the cost I decided that I should wait for a price drop. Cronus adapter is available on preorder on official website and is cheaper than xcm adapter. Cronus is for $70 whereas xcm is for $100. Also i've heard with system updates from sony, older versions have been made useless. So before buying any research a lot. Or the best option would be to search for a xbox looking ps3 controller. Kr1pt1k Posted September 10, 2012 Report Share Posted September 10, 2012 Bro problem with all the above controllers is except button placement, body shape and grip looks similar to ps3 controller. The main thing I like about xbox controller is the shape. Your palm kind of rest on controller and feel is very good i.e. The grip. I dont think you will be satisfied with the above controllers. Earlier, being a regular with triple controller, I played with the 360 controller for a little bit and dismissed it. Now that I've played some substantial time with it, I absolutely abhor even the sight of the DS3. It looks & feels so cheap in comparison. The only thing I miss is the recharge ability built in. And I started playing Superman Returns, and I wanted to play with classic costume right away, so decided to use cheat code, and entering cheat combination with that god awful dpad was a nightmare.
