Dragon Age: Inquisition

Big difference between the comments system and the actual dialogues. I think as spindoctor has put it --

the point stands moot. The dumb system is so dumb instead of us romping around like a Bantha on Taatoine, BIOWARE should hand us the end result on the platter. The bandits decapitated heads should be placed at our disposal after we get a bandit quest (generalizing). We should be at the treasure after talking to an NPC about a treasure fetch quest.

Not sure what you're implying. The speech system in DXHR was in no way dumbed down. Instead of giving us the whole script, like a non-voiced game would have, DXHR had us choosing the tone of our reply. It was never black and white, good or evil choices. It was done better than any other RPG I've played.

I mixed up between Deus Ex and Dragon Age II. Apologies; what I meant was w.r.t. the colour highlights and emotional descriptors attached to the dialogue. It made the whole system rather pointless and bland.

With reference to Deus Ex's dialogue system, this is what I stated --

But unlike BIOWARE dialogue there was no helpful colour coding and voice descriptors added to aid in the conversation. Don't think that will be changed and that is why I am against a voiced protagonist system.

You had to indulge in some careful subterfuge and pick up patterns in speech and ego / position of character in the game to successfully classify them as an ALPHA, BETA OR GAMMA personality and work from there towards extracting information, breaking them OR changing their view-point on the situation.

not to mention the combat in origin was challenging, did anyone else find that 2 had quite linear and simpler combat, I could just beat the opponents while sleepwalking. talking about normal difficulty here.

Don't know, I am fine as long as the system is easy to manipulate to your ends.

Maybe they should try putting in the combat system of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, that would be great fusion. If they manage to return to the level of story-telling that was Origin.

Combat in DA:O was fine if you are a dual wielder or a caster , playing as a sword/sheild or 2h sword warrior is simply too painful and slow. the former is usally tank it wouldnt matter. The amount of dps u could dish out as a rouge or a dual weilding warrior is far greater than that of a 2h warrior , if there was a pvp in DA:O warriors wouldnt even find a place there. Also since warriors have fairly low dex they wont land every attack which is even more BS. Only thing warriors were good for in dao was crowd control and keeping aggro from bosses ,but dps warriors were untterly useless.

In that respect i liked DA2 , playing as a 2h sword warrior was fun and viable as a damage dealer and the classes were somewhat balanced although i was very dissapointed that they killed off the 'Arcane Warrior' , that should be a seperate class itself if y ask me .

And about DAO begin challenging?? i completed DAO ,awakening and amgarrak all on nightmare difficulty sevral times and only the end boss in golems of armgarrak was somewhat challengeing, rest all were pretty straight foward and the tactics menu makes things even easier.

To be honest the arsishok battle in DA2 (nightmare difficulty) was veryy hard , whether it was solo duel or all out battle , that was H-A-R-D. Died countless times there.

they should forget everything they ever did on dragon age and go balls out copying call of duty and other popular franchises. hit markers, level ups, killstreaks, 100% linear experience, QTEs everything. f**k everyone who ever enjoyed dragon age before this.

Game will mainly take place in Orlais . But places id like to be shown would be Par Vollen , Anderfels (Grey Warden Fortress) , Antiva , Kal Sharok and ofcourse the Golden City of the Maker himself beyond the fade which is possible since this game is about a big religous war  .

A PVP system/arena would be welcoming , if i acquire awesome gear i want it to count and show my imbaness against others rather than soloing bosses and all that. Introduce Crafting and Arcane Transmutation for modding stats and equipment so that everyone has their own unique gear. As of now DA:O even at nightmare difficulty is soo easy if you've already played the game once.

Bring back the Arcane Warrior and make more Hybrid classes / dual classing . Also make appropriate gear to be available to all the classes , being a mellee arcane warrior in DA:O was a total waste. Also if theres to be lots of armor and gear let there be some variety in skins, afaik all leather armor in da:o look the same. And like in mass effect let players be able to color and add their own patterns to armor.

^^ make it happen bioware

Still haven't played DA1...after I heard how bad DA2 is I didn't bother. :P if DA3 is good I'll give it a go.

^^ The difference between the original Dragon Age and the sequel are sky and Earth, the production value of the former is much higher and I would dare say the last 'true' RPG that BIOWARE had a stab at; after that it is a TPS-combat system with shallow narrative that have come to fore.
