ALPHA17
But I dont wanna cough up 3.5k or whatever the stupid price EA is asking for games nowadays. I think I will just wait. At 2-2.5k this would have been an insta purchase. You'll be better served by getting Divinity Original Sin and Project Eternity than this with that money. Aftrunner
I didnt know I was limited to buying one. DOS is on the list, steam winter sale most likely. PE too. I like RPGs. I dont hold a grudge against Bioware for ME3. I do hold one for DA2 but looks like they are doing this one right so why not. But not at 3.5k. LOL. Aftrunner
Wait seriously? No physical copies? Even for consoles? Are EA, like, done with Retail here? Not that it makes much difference in price, physical and digital was the same for their games. Edited October 11, 2014 by Aftrunner
ALPHA17
Are EA, like, done with Retail here? Not that it makes much difference in price, physical and digital was the same for their games. Only consoles get physical retail but the game is f**ked. No level up point distribution (auto), the story is okay in the vein of okay stories. Nothing really screaming at me, buy this. But if you want to get it, go for it, just saying that Divinity and Project Eternity might be more in spirit with the RPG's you want. And the real elephant in the room is The Witcher 3. Every time I see a release for that my hype meter goes up, this, this has just been like a barometer in the centre of a cyclone.

They'll most probably f**k it up anyway..
Aftrunner
Well f**k that then, I am not downloading 25+ GBs. Buy console, sell it afterwards I guess.
ALPHA17
But we don't know anything about the story and plot treatment yet... We know you are the INQUISITOR, the only hope for the world after the veil is torn asunder. We already know what the dialogue wheel looks like. Do you need any more exposition on the topic, it is typical BIOWARE, the only hitch being this is not 2003 any more.

I was on about tying up stuff from Origin and the hints of an overarching plot, but the "hide" illustrates what its going to be in the end Edited October 11, 2014 by LeonardoInventions
dylanjosh
Reception will be great as all major games these days get decent-good scores by the major publishers but I have lost faith in BIOWARE, so that is that. Not looking at the major publishers.

ALPHA17
So much hate for Bioware :| So should I praise them for peddling themselves for greater 'accessibility'. Also, no local physical copies for us. Combined with the pricing on it. Yeah! Good luck selling me that EA. ALPHA17
Most of them are hating BioWare because of EA and Dragon Age II fiasco (and Mass Effect 3 ending). We should praise them for it right. I do not get why everyone loves to lament gaming is so niche and expensive then scurry around purchasing every major title releasing under the sun. Dragon Age II and Mass Effect *franchise* in itself sunk BIOWARE's prestige in my eyes. And I will keep saying that, INQUISITION is not doing anything to redeem itself, maybe you like the whole idea of lets remove the thought process from allocating skill points and then will bemoan the advent of casuals coming into gaming. LeonardoInventions
Most of them are hating BioWare because of EA and Dragon Age II fiasco (and Mass Effect 3 ending). My biggest gripe is that new auto levelling 'feature', otherwise with Bioware taking their time unlike DA:II was something that gave me hope that all the past mistakes will be accounted for. But that is a big hit. ME3 ending is in the past now, its more a case of *sigh* now rather than hate.

DA 1 was soo good tho.. i never really saw ME as an RPG, but i liked ME1 regardless. Honestly, i feel bioware is catering to the wider audience, to the casual gamer who wants to buy it for the looks, rather than whats inside. Wish they could add both to the mix, auto levelling for those who dont bother, manual allocation for those who want that.. Dragon Age had a lot of potential..
