woah.. mass effect franchise? you dont like all 3 of them?

Nope, the first one I played through and it never gave me the impression of being an RPG. Its start was good but by the end, completely jaded.

Same with the second part, played a little, dropped, never touched the third title and never want to either.

haha.. read my reply above, i was editing it while you sent this..

Sorry mate. I do not want to come across as a bot / hater / loser.

I make mistakes and I have bought my share of terrible games but that does not make me think any different about them.

Mass Effect primarily suffered because I played it immediately after I was done with ORIGINS and The Witcher 2. I was on this high of playing really high quality RPG's and some senior gave me a copy (same guy shared ORIGIN's which I later bought, Ultimate Edition) saying it was a good game (mind you good game, not RPG) and I played it, gave it a chance and did not really walk away with a WIN feeling.

It was too simplistic, trying to go for that 'cinematic' feel and really in comparison to the games I had just played crumpled. I would say the KoTOR games that BIOWARE and Obsidian did a decade ago were better than this title. I could never go back and play it again. Same with the sequel and after hearing of the Mass Effect 3 ending. I literally passed up on BIOWARE because the studio I knew and cherish from the grand old days of RPG's (that initially I had disliked) had turned into this. A shallow, destitute shell of themselves, being whored out to hoover up the average Joe who does not want to apply himself into the game and does not want to take defining choices.

I would rather remain in a time capsule where BIOWARE is making games that really told stories and not franchises that sold millions upon millions warranting another sequel that may or may not retcon plot lines to remain canon.

Cant fault you for wanting the good stuff mate. I have not played an rpg game that came close to Origins till date, wanted to play Witcher 2 badly, but my pc could never handle it. As for what bioware has become now, i'm not sure what to make of it, quality stories are rare to find these days, so i stick to FIFA or some MP shooter cuz that way, I dont have to get disappointed knowing about the possibilities that a game could have had.

The thing Origins nailed more than anything is the characters. In an RPG, it's important (at least for me) that the player enjoys spending time with his/her party. The party members in Inquisition seem pretty bleh to me. I wish Witcher released in Nov instead of Dragon Age.

I think everyone wishes for a Witcher release

ASAP.. First rpg worth picking up on ps4 afaik..

I agree. Bioware usually does characters well. All ME games and DA1 has had writing that's head and shoulders above 95% of the rest of the industry.

About, DAI, well we haven't played the game yet, so it's difficult to say. You have to realize it's a difficult thing to convey through trailers and posters.

^ This is the like the mentality that DICE displayed in BattleField 4. People said the Attack Heptr and jets are OP. Bam! Create a mobile AA that can cover two-thirds if not more of the largest maps.
