Dragon Age: Inquisition

Dude, blame your country/government for that, not the publisher for avoiding court issues/protecting their game. Many games are censored and/or not available in countries like Germany / Australia / CIS, etc. There's always an alternate way.

For example: As far as I know, Fallout is banned in India over Brahmin issue. Just like that Dragon Age: Inquisition won't be available in your country.

dude blame what seriously, every other game is releasing here.

By the way , fallout being banned I can understand ,but inquisition does not , in anyway ,afaik, and on building on the previous two games ,affect our culture or past ..

Going by your logic , fc4 is guaranteed to be banned ..

What does milestone & it's distribution channel have to do with digital release through Origin?!

They do not have the money to bring in physical copies, even PlayStation 4 exclusives like LBP3 are in their hand and will not come or will be delayed release here for physical copy.

Like Fall Out coz it had a cow named Brahmin & you could eat it

So they did not release it in the country but you can still get the game via STEAM gifting, they have blocked the same in ORIGIN.

Joe is right

Things do get banned sometimes in India only

Like Fall Out coz it had a cow named Brahmin & you could eat it

God knows what it is this time

fallout was just one game ,alpha's explanation makes more sense,There is no way there could be anything serious in dragon age that can be against anyone's sensibilities.

If that was so why did the previous dragon ages make it through??Its a fantasy game

Certainly can't see how GTA can be allowed and dragon age not ..

Also, its just slacking on ea's part , first no physical copy for PC owners , now this .

Not sensible in a country that doesn't have a really good internet connection or a mass populace that can't afford, or isn't allowed ( by parents ) to own one ..

Also ,the ones getting it through VPN ,Its a grey area ,technically there is no legal way to get this game in this country .

Different game, different terms, different issues to deal with.

And you are wrong. There are plenty of digital sites selling keys (probably cheaper than retail copy (if it existed in first place)).

You'll be surprised how many games are banned here in Australia. From freaking South Park to bloom galore Syndicate to Witcher (couple of them were edited and were released). I.e, cut version.

Fallout was prevented from launch by Bethesda itself, not by any third-party organisation.

Wait what?

Dude there is no law over here preventing EA from releasing in India, as far as I see INQUISITION does not even have anything offending to anyone's sensibilities. EA does not have the balls to say that its distributor (milestone) has f**ked up *HARD*, or maybe milestone told them to put this up before sorting out things.

This is EA and milestone's c*ck up and we are suffering for it.

Why would any distributor not want to sell one of the biggest game of the year? That doesn't make any sense.

Nobody knows that, yet.

So?

Taking down digital orders mean something is wrong more than so called distributor issue.

ESRB summary:

This is a role-playing game in which players assume the role of a warrior battling evil forces in different dimensions. Characters use swords, axes, hammers, and magic attacks to kill fantastical creatures (e.g., demons, monsters, dwarfs) and humans in melee-style combat. Cutscenes sometimes depict characters impaled or getting their throats slit. Violent sequences are often highlighted by cries of pain, gurgling/gushing sounds, and large blood-splatter effects; blood remains on the ground in several environments. The game includes some sexual material: a female character briefly depicted in front of a man's torso (fellatio is implied); characters depicted topless or with exposed buttocks while lying in bed or after sex; some dialogue referencing sex/sexuality (e.g., “'I will bring myself sexual pleasure later, while thinking about this with great respect'” and “The way your t*ts bounce when I pin your arms and take you on the side of the bed…”). The words “f**k,” “sh*t,” and “a*shole” appear in dialogue.

Probably because of some sexual material. Fellatio.

Nobody knows that, yet.

If it is hurting any religious sentiments then it will be too

Everytime they use that try-hard American accent, I feel like stabbing puppies.

I want the game to be banned as I dislike stabbing puppies and this is hurting my sentiments, here is my petition, please sign.

Why would any distributor not want to sell one of the biggest game of the year? That doesn't make any sense.

INQUISITION is no FIFA, it won't move numbers here.

And as have said like five times already, there is no cash to get copies here, so even if they would have put up pre-orders it would have been delayed delivery.

PlayStation exclusives are also handled by them, so even they are being delayed.

Technically they have blocked on Steam. If there was a gifting option on Origin, people would have got it via trade.

It's just like Fallout issue. Blocked in your region, but you can still buy from 3rd party.

Yes, the problem is we do not have third-party options on ORIGIN.

It is either ORIGIN Mexicaná or Amazon, both which end up on ORIGIN library which means they might be taken down.

Either way, it'll end up in your library, but I really doubt they'll remove products purchased from 3rd party.

So, i can't even get the digital version from Origin?

No, you can't. At least not from Origin.

Lol that's what I'm saying

If milestone fails on distribution why would EA go one step ahead & block Digital distribution too?!

This logic just doesn't make sense

No logic, it is EA, they do not operate on those lines.

That was a looong time ago & there were no strict digital distribution rules or checks in place as they are now

It might have slipped in digitally on some later date unnoticed

But now things are different

The game cannot be bought if you are in India region, does not mean you cannot play from an account of / in this region.

Your friend, acquaintance can purchase it and gift it to you STEAM even today and you can play without any account or VPN change malarkey.

Either way, it'll end up in your library, but I really doubt they'll remove products purchased from 3rd party.

Why not, they have taken down the pre-orders. What stops them from doing the same to third-party purchases?

The game's still up on PSN India for now:

https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-in/games/dragon-age-inquisition-pre-order/cid=EP0006-CUSA00503_00-B000000000001187

If they block it, can I just create a new PSN account (US) and download it from there?
