Well Recently I cracked Chartered Accountancy in 1st attempt in MAY 2012 and was unemployed. But now I got a job where I will have to leave my home town,my family,my friends and most importantly my grandfather. Also my girlfriend :P whom I met in my Inter exam hall. ;)

I will have to shift to Mumbai from next month which is very depressing for me.Told my dad if I can quit my job,he looked at me like I asked him for his whole savings money for my pocket money :P

But then I will have to adjust no matter what, but I am currently planning with my friends to stay here for mba!!The purpose of washing my own clothes and dishes, making my own food haunts me!!! :scarerun:

Just thought to share with you lot!!!

I had to do the same last year.. Initially it's difficult but you will get used to it. If possible, try to find a place close to your work area to avoid travel hassles, hire a maid to do cooking, washing etc. If any of your friends or class mates are also shifting, try getting a place together.

There's a huge sense of freedom that comes from living on your own, as well as responsibility and pride.

Lol wut. Living alone from family and getting is a job signifies you have become a man, enjoy it before you get tied down by marriage and responsibilities again. I know Mumbai is a sad sad place (Delhi guy, inherent rivalry :P) but it has a thriving nightlife.

So go out, make some friends and enjoy.

P.s. Hire a bitchin' sweet maid as the above poster suggested.

Ah I was waiting to get out of home, it is a little bogging down when it comes to do daily chrome.

but the f**ckin freedom, drink when you want sleep when you want, get gals hone, uninterrupted porn, late night parties.

and all of above from your money.

cracking CA in 1st attempt is no joke. Well congrats!! Though i don't understand why you are doing MBA after. No use.. Good luck getting used to in Mumbai.

Lol thanks man ,If you study hard you can crack it but luck is required 99%

Getting a place in mumbai is like 25k and that maid will take min 5k,nearly half of my salary is wasted on these things :wallbash:

I am too young to become a man, lol.I know living alone.Left alone a couple of times during my articles[most dumb thing you have to do in ca for 3 years] but I enjoy living more with my parents and childhood friends.

lol he he :coolspeak:

But the irony is I do not heavy drink nor do I smoke.Got plenty of freedom at home.but its the new place that scares me and Mumbai isn't a nice place.Had it been Bangalore or Delhi no problem for me,for I know these places very well!!

Siddharth/elessar take this young man under your wing and make him the Jedi.

You will be his bro, you will be his yoda.

Yu will be his, BRODA.

Quite the opposite here. After living away from home for nearly 9 years now (studies and job), I've decided to shift back with my parents.

Good luck though ! And have fun.

That's something you will need to decide.. Living in Mumbai is costly for sure.

Costs will come down if you get flatmate(s).

But, why do you say Mumbai isn't a nice city ? You're far less likely to run into road rage and argumentative people here than in Delhi..

Zzzzzz

U got a job in Mumbai .. I am pretty sure you would be employed in a good company coz you cracked CA in 1st attempt ..

How come that's a bad future ??

I have been staying alone since I passed my 10th standards

1st in hostel , then in rented flat

I have been away from home for 5 years .. Never I washed my own clothes , dishes .. Never made my own food (except maggie) :P

You easily get a mess or a tiffin delivered to your house

For washing and cleaning , you would easily get a maid

Just stop freaking out ..

Be in contact with your family thru calls , Skype , FB
