Rahul Wadhwani
How can I download PS3 demos via PC?? I think you might be knowing something about it.
Big Boss
^The same way what he has written for updates. You can download full games and demo via exact same procedure.
dranjithk
Yep, you can even use a download manager that has a 'resume' feature to download updates and demos. That way even if your connection craps out in the middle, your download wont get affected.
Aron
I've asked this question in threads similar to this, but no answer. So I'm asking again, will this method work on a bridge connection? You know, where you have to enter your id and pass every time you log in? Can someone please confirm? dranjithk
Haven't tried it on a bridge. But I guess if the IP on your PS3 and the Proxy app are same, you shouldn't be having problems.. Did you try your hands on a bridge?
Aron
No, I don't own a ps3 yet :-( . Has anyone tried it on a bridge?
Aron
Well what I'm worried about is bridge doesn't allow more than one connection at a time, and disconnects lan while on internet. So, how can the download list be accessed from the ps3 while it's connected to the pc via lan? Or is the list saved locally?
i_rock098
No, I don't own a ps3 yet :-( . Has anyone tried it on a bridge? Then get a PS3 before worrying about downloading games on it
dranjithk
Both the devices should be on the same network (same router that is). This is the requirement! How have you set up the bridge? The architecture, i mean. Does it involve two routers? One for a wireless LAN and another Ethernet-powered Internet connection? Rey
I have a bridged connection. Modem+Router, and 'n' number of devices are connected to the router wirelessly including my PS3. And PS3 Proxy works absolutely fine. *Where 'n' is a natural number.
Aron
Then get a PS3 before worrying about downloading games on it FYI, the ability can be a strong point for making the choice for some, including me

Aron
Yes, it works fine. Does it work over the dsl modem itself? (Cause my BSNL modem cuts lan while it's online.) Or does it need a second router?

My bsnl modem works fine but it doesn't cut LAN when online.... if that is the case then what is the point of modem + router? Anyway to use ps3proxy, u need to have a modem capable of providing LAN+wan simultaneously. Sent from my Nexus S
