Getting Indian player licenses from BCCI for a not-so-rich publisher.....sounds like a dream :P!!

I personally am not too worried about it, as you can create your own players, you can download players created by others, give them any name, chances are high that their name will be there in commentary as well based on the hints given by BigAnt. Also, when you play any team online with created players, all those created players would be downloaded automatically for you...so you can save them. I am guessing, we would have 100 percent licensed teams available to us (through this creation and sharing mode) within the first 2 months :)!

Pretty good. That Ashes game can GTFO.

I agree!! After what they dished out in the previous two games, and the total lack of post-release support even when the online gameplay was totally broken, I would rather give all my support to BigAnt. The attention to detail they seem to be giving to this game seems rather promising. But the main test still awaits.....GAMEPLAY :devil

Still waiting for a real spiritual successor to Sachin V/s Afridi

Till then, satisfy your hunger with this :

http://www.cricketcountry.com/cricket-articles/Shahid-Afridi-reveals-how-Sachin-Tendulkar-cheated-against-Pakistan-/6151

In a sensational disclosure, Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi has claimed that Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar cheated by riding a horse to cover the distance between the wickets when he should have been using his legs. Afridi said that Tendulkar rode the horse again and again and went on to score a century against Pakistan in a 2005 ODI match at Ahmedabad, which India lost by three wickets.

“I clearly saw it,” Afridi recalled, “India batted first and I still remember Tendulkar and Sehwag coming out in the field riding on a big white horse, which had a pink tail and red hoofs. The reins of the horse were held by Tendulkar while Sehwag was riding behind him, clutching onto him like a baby.”

“I thought it was some Indian way to make a grand entry as they do in various events and ceremonies, so I kept quiet at that moment,” Afridi said. “But I was surprised when the horse stood back on the field even as Tendulkar and Sehwag took charge to bat.”

Afridi claims that he took up the issue with ground umpires, but both of them failed to see any horse on the field. He even asked them to call up the third umpire and verify it through video recordings, but shockingly even the third umpire couldn’t spot any horse on the ground.

“It was shocking,” Afridi shared his frustration. “We always knew that India cheated and used unfair means through BCCI, but this was a total shocker. Even now when I go back and look at the match recordings, I don’t see any horse. Clearly, they have used advanced technology and removed the horse from the recordings.”

Afridi claims that he had to continue with the match as Inzamam-ul-Haq, the captain of Pakistani team in that match, too failed to see the horse and instead asked Afridi to concentrate on the match.

“This totally broke my confidence and I couldn’t take any wickets in the match,” Afridi revealed the hitherto secret incidents that took place six years ago, “I couldn’t believe when people failed to see Tendulkar getting on the horse as soon as he played a shot and going to the other end riding on a horse.”

“This was the reason Sehwag got run out,” Afridi provided a “proof” to back his allegations. “Sehwag failed to match the pace of the horse. Next batsman in was Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who could run as fast as the horse, so he didn’t get run out, but he was surprisingly caught by Kamran Akmal behind the wicket. The next one to follow was Sourav Ganguly, who again failed to match the pace of the horse and got run out. All these are documented, you can check it.”

“All the Indian players knew that there was a horse on the field for Tendulkar,” he further disclosed. “Harbhajan Singh, who was the 12th man in the match, used to bring green grass laced with Horlicks for the horse after each over. The horse did all the running for Tendulkar.”

Afridi claimed that Tendulkar scored as many as 63 runs while riding a horse, which was a blatant violation of ICC rules and proved that Tendulkar was not any great batsman.

“Who knows he might have used the same horse to score his double century in the ODI against South Africa last year,” Afridi alleged.

Afridi said that he was silent all these years as Pakistan eventually went on to win the match. “God punished them for using unfair means,” he said, “But Tendulkar was riding the horse even while fielding. It’s such a shame that I was declared out caught by Tendulkar riding a horse.”

The former Pakistani captain, who is currently under conditional retirement, claims that he will disclose more such startling truths in his upcoming autobiography named “From the horse’s mouth”.

And:

The control vibrates if there is a nick (hide that from your opponent! )

If you appeal to much the umpire will get annoyed and is less likely to see things your way.

Gosh....this game is sounding like the best cricket game ever!!!! Ask the developer about any feature and back comes the reply....ITS IN THE GAME :majesty:!!

Here is a small list if its features disclosed so far (I might have missed a few):

a) Career Mode (it is like a Manager mode + You can play the matches)

b ) Create a Player Mode. Plus, you can upload or download the players / teams.

c) Create a match, tournament etc.

d) Bowling mechanics have been changed. You no longer choose the spot where you want to land the ball. The spot will be chosen based on the decisions made before and at the time of delivery (am assuming it means 'when' you decide to release the ball). If done well, this could really add a great deal of depth to the bowling mechanics, and (hopefully) would require you to practice hard before you can get onto bowling those perfect deliveries.

e) Weather (dynamic) and pitch conditions would play a huge role. The pitch will Deteriorate during the course of the match. Now, I know this has been there in previous games as well, but what I did not like in those games was that once the pitch deteriorated, nomatter where you pitched the ball....it would get drastic turn, however, what bigant has done well is that the ball would only misbehave when it pitches on the rough patches. That, I believe, will make this game very interesting as it will make the batsman concentrate more and also the fact that the new bowling mechanics would ensure that to pitch the ball perfectly on the rough, you would need a lot of skill.

f) The non-striker is controlled independently by the AI, and can reject the run if it feels it would not be able to make it. This will make the game more interesting as it will create more importance on making correct calls and also concentrating on the fact whether the non-striker is responding to the call.

g) The player attributes will play a huge role in the game (needs to be confirmed once videos are released).

h) Player morale and momentum will play a huge role.

i) You can now save online games. So, it is now feasible to play all kinds of matches online, instead of the standard 10 Overs or 20 Overs match.

Could this be the cricket game (or series) we have always been waiting for????

Some more details disclosed:

j) Fielding will be manual. Nothing will be controlled by the AI.

k) Batting controls have been released:

- Left stick foot placement in the shot.

- Right stick controls the bat.

- Thumb pad controls position in the crease.

- Variable triggers are used for defensive and aggressive play.

- Bumpers are for advancing down the wicket and unorthodox shots.

l) There would not be any marker on the pitch when you are batting.
