angy if you could i'm sure you'd fly down to australia to BAS & do some 007-style "investigations" :fap:

What!! You really think I get all this info from planetcricket? :P:fear:

If Angy came to Melbourne I would surely shout him lunch and take him to a game (of football!) :)

(It's not Cricket season here.)

You better keep your word then Ross....I just might land up in Melbourne sometime in the next couple of years :P. Australia is our next holiday destination...got family there

just hope the baseball season is over there by then.....don't wanna get bashed up :giggle:

Well take this with a pinch of salt, but Ross has hinted at the fact (infact his hint was more like a confirmation :P) that the endorsed player's name will be revealed next Friday!! Now, I do remember Ross mentioning that the release date and the endorsed player's name will be revealed together (he said it long time back)......so if he is sticking to his word, then Next Friday is indeed the reveal of the endorsed player + The release Date!!

Whats more.....if the release date is actually revealed next friday, then in all probability, it (the release date) would be the 26th of August 2013, i.e. one month from the reveal.....as Ross also mentioned that the game will be released within a month of the release date reveal!!!

It also goes well with his statement which he made two-three months back (yes....thats 2 months prior to Trickstar confirming the delay of their game), that his game will be released after 21st June 2013 but before Ashes Cricket 13 is released (word is out that trickstar/505games is looking at 27th August as the release date for their game). Also, 26th August is exactly 1 day after the last ashes test is played....so this is also consistent with his statements that he would not release his game during the Ashes.

I do say again that take it with a pinch of salt as it all depends on whether Ross keeps his word (chances of which are pretty high seeing his past record) regarding the timeline between the reveal of the endorsed player and the release date as well as the timeline between the reveal of the release date to the actual release!!!

Ross: This is your last chance to refute the above statements written in BOLD!!! :P

yeah i dont understand why you would want to come AFTER another cricket game. however rubbish it is, a lot of people would pick up the first game on shelves after a long time. if you're ready then why lose out on first mover advantage..

I agree with you. People who will buy only one cricket game will buy the first game.

If Ashes magically appears before us then people who buy one game will trade it, I have no doubts on that.

PS: I say this safe in the knowledge that this week I saw Ashes 2013 for myself at a PAX function in Melbourne.

Isn't ashes game coming before big ant game? What I know and heard is Big ant game will come out in October and ashes game will come out in August. Is the plan changed and you are planning to release big ant game in August before ashes game comes out?

Il just say that the marketing campaign that we were expecting BigAnt to start by the end of August......is starting coming Friday ?

Hint: The end of an Ashes series evens out any advantage that lies in the the tag 'Ashes'.

:clap3:

Dont be so happy yet!!! All this is assumption based on what Ross had told us earlier!! As of now, his official statement on this is:

Just setting some expectations lower than perhaps people have - next Friday is the start of the public campaign. You guys know about the game, we have to get the rest of the world to catch up.

Alright guys,it's almost confirmed that Friday is not the reveal of the release date. It's something to do with making this game known the the world outside ivg and pc. The name of the game will surely be revealed on Friday.....that's the only thing confirmed!!! So lower down your expectations a bit!!! However the good news is that the marketing campaign starts on Friday......so you can expect the goodies to follow after that

August - Saints Row 4, XCOM, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Final Fantasy XIV, Lost Planet 3, Splinter Cell: Blacklist

September - GTA V, 'nuff said.

October - Beyond: Two Souls, Batman, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, WWE 2K14.

November - Battlefield 4, Watch Dogs, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Need for Speed: Rivals, Divinity: Original Sin.

Releasing in July would have been perfect. Game along with Ashes. Damm!

Hope they release next month early or September early or during Christmas.

Edit: Just saying.
