playstationdude
^For 50 lakhs? I don't think its possible in that budget.
The Wolfy among us
50 lakhs will not be enough imo for a car parts factory. Just a single lathe will cost that much. I feel that it has to be something service driven. Manufacturing will not cut it. Hmm, how about starting a courier service, intra city. Ensure delivery the same day. You deliver anything, be it fragile goods, food, bouquet, ice, dry ice, anything. And another idea i got.... Collect the wasted raw material from 5,4,3 star hotels. Examples will be fish heads, prawn heads, basically all the parts of a vegetable or non veg which star hotels will not be willing to use in their "high" quality food. Or rejected rice grains... you get the idea. Collect them, or buy them for cheap. Mind you, they are still fresh and edible. Do not collect spoilt food. Now cook food out of it. Rice, soup, etc, and sell it to poor people for lesser rate. Since you get the raw materials, most of your input will be free, and the profit will come from the people buying the food. Example, get wasted, or brown rice, clean it a bit, and make a bowl of rice out of it. Add curd, or pickle, sell it for Rs. 5. It will be a hit among people who do hard daily labor. Just FYI. Ever tasted prawn crackers? They are one of my favorite crunch snacks. has amazing flavor. They are almost extensively made out of prawn heads. Kakarot
A really good business is that of a stationery shop near a college....A photocopy machine is a must if you want profit..put in a couple of good wuality PCs for surfing and 'taking printouts for projects' combine that with a location like Bandra TPS road (National college + MMK + TSEC + Law college + IIPM ) all in the radius of 50 meters and you've hit a goldmine. The GOAT Valentino Rossi46
Food business mate. I think people stop or postpone buying things like gadgets and cloths etc. But food, I dont think so. Ask him to do restaurant business but unique in style and different from other. Ask him to add some foreign dishes like UK (fish pie or fish and chips) and Italian.
Unrealistic
If you are in south. Start milk and packaged drinking water (only can) business. Its like 100% profit and in great demand. I have no idea in south. But here about 1lk - 2lk litres of milk is needed per day. (Each litre costs like 25Rs , But production cost will come around 7-11 rs) 25 ltr can water business is also in high demand here because aquafina and kinley captured 1-2 litres bottle business) We currently do this and we are getting huge amount of profit. I dont want to disclose the profit. But yea u can get 200% of what u told in first thread with that investment. ----------------------------- Invest 2 Crores and start KFC restaurant.....fuking high amount of profit. And always food bsuienss have good profits if u delliver the fantastic food..no matter for price. because if its tasty..they dont care about price. Hey, I'm dropping you a PM W.R.T. the KFC franchise. I've been through their website, but if you've communicated with someone directly, I'd really appreciate their digits. KnackChap
Only and Only get into the food business if you know how to cook or the person who'll cook is close to you or u know him personally. this is especially true for smaller fast food restaurants where even the absence of 1 person means that you'll have to shut shop. also, if you still go for it overstaff your place (esp in the kitchen) for the first 6 months even if it means paying a couple of guys more. here's what you should do, open a small burger/roll/shwarma outlet and starts franchising it if it works. you literally start printing money. The GOAT Valentino Rossi46
Food business is highly risky imo. Yeah mate, Everything is risky unless you started a business. But its better than showing off and customising the cars.....As for average indian like me (I fancy cars, bikes too but cant effort luxury cars and I dont like ruin or customise my hard earned car and most people asfaik think the same). But most people prefer going out with family/friends/girlfriend to spend some time peacefully away from rushing hours/busylife which is good imo.
