phreak
Hey everyone, So I just spent 3-4 hours searching for a good headphone. And couldn't decide properly which one to buy. So thought to ask my brethren gaming community. Need an All rounder Wireless Headphone for Gaming, chat, movies, music. Should support PC/PS3/Tab/Mob. Budget is 10k. Wireless, first thing comes to mind are Sony official headsets. While researching found out that Elite Pulse is just good for PS3(Movie streaming,BR, Gaming) and NOT for pc and music. Vice versa for Sony old original wireless headset. How true is that? Then there are Logitech F540, Tritton AX Pro 5.1, Turtle Beach Ear Force DPX21 etc etc with all mixed reviews. Mind says just go for elite pulse, will see what happens. What do you guys think? Any help is appreciated.. regards

You can connect directly to PS3 using a compatible cable like this. And the sennheiser wireless headsets are pretty good, the RS 110 is available for Rs. 4200 or so. Look into AD700s or Ultrasone HFI-580/780s. If you want something more fancy get yourself some HD-598s or K701s (pretty much the best gaming headphones you could get)
piper
This may also suffice for now, and very reasonable as well : http://www.indianvideogamer.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=35790 .
harjas
i suggest that u w8 a month or so for the skullcandy ones coz those would be gr8 as their wired ones got good reviews and also skullcandy bought astro gaming company too

Does it have a usb dongle or something with it? And by 3.5mm I've to keep it connecting to TV? Doesn't that defeat the purpose
phreak
Buy tritton AX Pro + ( will cost ~ 200 USD) .. U'll thank me . The only thing keeping me from buying that its old Want something recent, that will last another good 2-3 years.. 1-2 year old headphones will also do. Played once at friend's home with AX pro MW3, was good. Also IIRC it has a tedious setup the cushion on the sony 7.1 s get degraded by sweating and the cause alot of heat Not worried about sweating, its winter. And during summers, house remains air conditioned most of the time. And yeah have heard that it gets heated up using it 1-2hours. True? And do you own one? Not happy with it? Tell me more. Why wireless? Turtle Beach are super awesome crap.Go for wired.Look into AD700s or Ultrasone HFI-580/780s. If you want something more fancy get yourself some HD-598s or K701s (pretty much the best gaming headphones you could get) Nope, not wired one please. I specifically mentioned in OP. AAMOF, I have quite few number of wired headsets lying around. Probably dead. Hate the messy wiring, inconvenience. Want something hands-free. Sit back, relax n enjoy.. Wireless are always pricey and yet does not meet wired features and quality. If you can save some more bucks, go for ATH-DWL5500R. For 200, you can choose RS 160. Golden rules before buying headphone: 1) If a product has "gaming" written anywhere in it's name or product page, avoid them like the plague. 2) Surround sound headphones aren't better than stereo headphones with good soundstage. 3) Surround sound headphones are ~love~ for music. 4) Stay far away from fancy brands like Razer, Skullcandy,Turtle Beach and other sh*t. AT- Best balance of value for money [ATH-ANC7b - around 150-200 bucks] Sennheiser- Best sound and comfort [RS 160 - pretty good wireless headphones]
