I was thinking of buying DPX21 b'coz of the DSS, it would be brand new instead of Second-Hand. I am not going to use the Turtle Beach headset. I was thinking of buying Audio Technica ATH-A700 OR Audio Technica ATH-AD700. I read that Audio Technica ATH-A700 is lot better than Audio Technica ATH-AD700. Sa1nT_SoLd1eR You are using Audio Technica ATH-AD700, how is the bass. I read that the bass is below normal, is that true. AD-700 is really good for online gaming but how does the music, dialogue etc sound in Single Player mission. Turtle Beach DSS has Bass Booster, so can i accept to have atleast normal bass. Sa1nT_SoLd1eR Posted November 13, 2012 Report Share Posted November 13, 2012 Dude the most VFM option is ATH AD700 + TB DSS, bass is a personal thing, for some even M50 don't fulfill their bass requirements, but for me AD700 has enough bass, the more you search the more you will zero in on AD700 + DSS, there is no such thing as headphones for every type of music and requirements. First channelise your energy on finding your requirements, and then move on to finding the equipment that suits your requirements. If you are looking for what you said in Op then AD700 + DSS is the best, cheapest VFM option you will get, but if you are going to detract from that, and look for things like more bass, this and that, then I really can't help you, cos your requirements are not stable. So I would suggest AD700 + DSS for gaming, occasional music, and not a bass head kind of person, as this was what i get from your OP !!! I hope you take all this in a kind spirit and not something to put you down, the place from where you are coming from, I have also been there, and I would request you to first narrow down your requirements, and then look out for the equipment to suit those needs !!! Regards !! Not sure why you think that my requirement has changed. As i said Headset for PS3 with Surround Sound. And I do agree that DSS + AD700 is perfect as per my requirement. I was just wanted to know if bass booster in DSS does increase the bass in ATH-AD700. If it doesn't then i might buy ATH-AD900. As per the review of Audio Technica ATH-AD700 (Found on Internet), its been said that it has a low bass. ATH-AD900 is a upgraded version ATH-AD700, it has little wide Soundstage & better Bass than ATH-AD700 but its cost is around $195. Thanks for your reply. If i buy Audio Technica ATH-AD700 from Pristine Note, do they provide warranty and RMA support. I called Pristine Note but didn't get a proper reply. Instead of replying to my query about the warranty, she was saying the same thing again & again "lots of people have bought Audio Technica Headphone from us and none of them had any issue till now."
