Ok there are two types of psp one which can be modded (that is you can download games and play, it has custom firmware)

The other ones is non moddable where you will have to buy or trade umd,s every time you want to play a new game

All psp cant be modded (i dont know the models) i guess the moddable one is more expensive(but cheaper in the long run)

whereas the unmoddable one is cheaper(but more expensive in the long run)

thanks dude :majesty:

Will the use of Component AV cable make the video quality better on SDTV, or will it remain the same as using normal cable?

Depends on what resolutions are supported by your TV. Check the manual.

If your TV has a component IN, use it -l definitely better video quality better than composite.

3 video inputs - Red, Blue and Green and 2 for L/R audio

Look behind your TV for something like this

Component_video_jack.jpg

Except it should say Component IN or something to that effect. Should be right alongside AV1 and AV2.

Anytime dude :punk:

I would suggest save for a HDTV...

yes i think i have to start saving some money for the hdtv.

I also found this comment on amazon.com (it is review from a buyer)

"The PS3 Component AV cable worked perfectly for my PS2 and my TV. My TV has Y/Pb/Pr and not Y, Cb/Pb, Cr/Pr inputs. Some forums expressed concern that the PS3 cable would not work for a PS2 with a TV that has only Y/Pb/Pr inputs. It worked perfectly on my TV."

So i guess the component cables will also work on the composite ports. but there is no option to try it first

No prob, Vanilladude.

If you're in the market for TV and not ready to give in to all the LCD hype, get a large screen 100Hz CRT/Rear Projection EDTV - they're being phased out and you can pick them up cheap or second hand, but you have too look for em - very hard to come by. They blow away almost all the entry level sub 50K LCDs in terms of brightness, blacks and contrast ratio.

If much of your movie library is in SD(DVD, DiVX) and in 4:3 AR, upgrading to LCD will only make your collection look bad. Unless of course, you plan to rebuy your entire collection in Blu Ray.
