It used to happen in 3.10... but very rarely... but after da 3.15 update it does'nt detect ma ethernet cable @ all.. i had to restart both modem n ps3 more than 5 times to make it detect it.. i logged out of psn now n switched off ma ps3..now ma ps3 aint detecting da ethernet again... da ethernet is fine bcoz i'm usin da same to post dis... sme1 help ... ambercrombie20 Posted January 16, 2010 Report Share Posted January 16, 2010 Something Weird is happening to my DS3 controller rite now....It was working fine till last nite...Was on low battery so I connected it my laptop to recharge it....den a lil While unplugged it thinking will charge today morning...but 2hours back I tried switching on ps3 with it...and No light flashed in it....Connected it to usb cable in ps3 s well...lights blinked I thought its drained so kept it on recharge since past hour n half while watching movie on ps3 only....N trouble now is....If i Dc the usb cable from ds3 n press PS button...nothing is happening No lights are flashing so there is no question of getting synced with ps3 or turning it on if its off....can I know what seems to be the problem??I dint update any fw....last one i did was in dec...3.15....n it worked fine with it...dat is till last nite....any help will be appreciated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And when I put it in the PS3, I am not able to access the internet........ I get the error "A problem occured when conecting to the network. This is a DNS error" Everytime I do this, I have to call up my ISP and they clear the bindings or something from their end and then it works fine on both my laptop and PS3......... But afterwards when I connect it back to the PS3 after using it on my laptop, I get the same error as before......... I have tried putting the DNS entries manually and I've also tried the Google DNS........ But neither of them seems to work........ Any possible solution to this..........?????? That, obviously, must be because I am not able to access the internet......... hmmm.... then its a prob wit ur connection or isp... i faced a prob after updating to 3.15..wired connection was'nt getting detected by da ps3...i thot even u hv dat prob... Coz I keep switching between the two devices........ your getting a dns error.. so it's related to the dns settings in your ps3 most probably.. go to NETWORK SETTINGS on your ps3.. and in dns settings put this - 208.67.222.222 (primary) 208.67.220.220 (secondary) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
