Somebody
had the same problem with router getting reset while updating for fifa 09 (and other game updates as well)...any good solution? I use a trial and error and after few tries it works - just switch off the modem when the option for download update appears (the black screen) and then switch on again (don't click on 'ok' for downloading the update yet)...after about 10 sec click ok for downloading the update and it should work in a few tries.... ^^ i had that problem too but it's fixed now... i fixed it with help from other GI members in this thread a couple of months ago. follow this link and it'll help u fix the problem. no need of all that trial-and-error bullshit. vbhoj74
my TV model number is: KLV-40V200A (Sony 40" Bravia LCD TV)my monitor model number is: L226WTQS (LG 22" LCD HDCP monitor) still unable to work out a display on the tv Bro I checked with your models. Here is what your problem is: You can hook the PS3 with a HDMI-DVI cable and it works with the monitor. When you hook the PS3 with a HDMI-HDMI cable it does not work with the TV. Diagnostic: 1. Try resetting the video setting on the PS3 when hooking the TV - ALREADY TRIED 2. Use a new HDMI-HDMI cable - ALREADY TRIED Conclusion: Since you already can get signal out of the PS3's HDMI using your monitor I don't suspect the PS3 apart from that we need to reset the video setting on it whenever we need to try it on a different set of display panel. Thus I'm guessing that you may have bent one of the HDMI pins on the TV while pulling the cable out of the TV. What needs to be tried: Try another HDMI source with the TV to see if the TV is allright ? When you hook up the PS3 or any other source to the TV's HDMI what do you get on the TV : 1) Any display flickers ? 2) Any hissing sound ? 3) Anything worth noting ? Grimmjow
for what period will they extend the warranty? 2 years for Rs 750/- after Sony's warranty is over(1 year) so you can have 1+2 years. If after the first year anything happens, you have to take it to Croma directly not to Sony.

I had taken my ps3 to my cuz bro's house since he has a samsung 40" LCD tv. I used both the HDMI cables on the tv but was unable to get any signal on it. It always displayed scanning all signals and then throws a message no signal....

Okay, but the fact that you are getting signal on your monitor from your PS3 via the HDMI-DVI tell that there is nothing wrong with the port as such. It can only be 3 of the following: 1. Video setting on the PS3 (already tried resetting) 2. HDMI-HDMI cables (maybe a 5% out of 100% chance is that both the cables are bad) 3. Something wrong with the TV's HDMI. I guess this is the best advise I can offer at the moment pal.

Fire Wolf
Yes the PS3 will work on the monitor if it's HDCP compliant, you need a DVI-HDMI cable though.
