Ubisoft Takes Interest in THQ Assets

forgot to mention, "in a longer run". alternate between two franchises every year, and keep things fresh. better than releasing two games every year, right. or do I have to remind you of NFS's state?

how many new IPs do you want me to list that disappeared without a trace? i get what you're saying about newer IPs being a good idea but don't pretend for a second that it would guarantee better sales.

now that i think about it... which is the last new ip that actually pushed past let's say 5-7 million sales? there was borderlands in 2009 but i can't seem to think of anything newer than that. minecraft as well. what else?

who said it is a new idea to create a new ip with every game. I am just saying, use two cows to milk, instead of one. that will mean much better sales next time. think of it, this way. if halo came out every 6 months, how much sales it would have got, compared to current scene. heck, even compare gta's sales to ac. or even gears. may be it was wrong to use term new here, "different ip" would have made my point clear.

They've milked the fck out AC in just 5 years. First AC was in 2007 and the following 2 years there was no AC ,until AC2 was out in november 09 .After that they've simply been throwing out ac games for consoles and handhelds like some cheap pokemon game,in the past 3 years how many ac games has there been ?? :giggle:. Milking a shooter is one thing ,but ac..... Imagine square enix putting out deus ex games every year.

Now they need another ip to milk. Hey!! why bother wasting time creating new ip , lets just throw 7 million on thq assets and reap as much profits and when its done just throw it aside like a dead goose. Ofcourse 'throwing aside' refers to layoffs.

take that :chair: 28 AC games can be made out of the AC universe :P.....History is our Playground

Ubisoft has decent experience with fighting games ,their naruto games were well polished , but the fighting was not true to the naruto universe , i hope they stay away from WWE for that reason , it's about time 2k shows some interest in WWE damn it , it looks like i need to take this to their FB Page :D
