President of Sony Computer Entertainment’s Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida announced the news via Twitter this morning with the following Tweet: “One welcome change in tomorrow’s PS Vita FW2.0 will be the web browser becomes a ‘small app’, you won’t have to quit games to use it.” If one has used vita in the past they would know this annoying limitation!!! While PS Vita users could previously access the web mid-game by following links in the handheld’s Twitter app, this was a far from ideal experience as the browser would close every time you returned to your game. This new feature of firmware 2.00 will be particularly useful for players who enjoy consulting walkthroughs or Trophy guides during gameplay. Besides getting a new system update this week, PS Vita owners can also begin to enjoy PlayStation Plus benefits from tomorrow. These include access to an all-new Instant Game Collection, 1GB of Cloud storage for PS Vita save files, and automatic Trophy syncing and patch downloading. Hell ya this makes this console now a supreme portable beast. Other Features on 2.0 update System changes Support for PlayStation Plus has been added. Application changes has been added as an application. The [Content Manager] has been redesigned. The [Content Manager] can now be used to transfer content to and from the PlayStation Plus online storage. The [Content Manager] can now be used to transfer content wirelessly to and from the PC. The rendering engine in the [Web Browser] has been improved. The [Web Browser] now uses more GPU processing power. The HTML5 and JavaScript engines in the [Web Browser] have been upgraded. Users can now send their current [Web Browser] URL through Twitter. Media changes The [Video] application can now display media in 1080p. The [Video] application now supports captioning. Folders can now be created for the [Video] application. Customers with 8gb console like my elder brother is f**ked up as it leaves only 2gb space on their console after this dumb patch which should have been integrated into it since launch. And I am dame happy that I sold my 3ds and purchased ps vita wifi 3G version . Now I can check my mail on go and have better browsing experience . And ps + nothing is better than getting free game especially the premium one although I have 2 of the premium one but still their are 4 more to add to my collection .
