playstation Posted November 23, 2012 Report Share Posted November 23, 2012 I want to get A/V Receiver from USA...something iek this Yamaha RX-V671 7.1-Channel Network AV Receiver http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-RX-V671-7-1-Channel-Network-Receiver/dp/B004QR56SE/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=3A0QDKWYSLMSX&coliid=IE9E1CEMK96JV now the thing is it is about 13 kg ...even if i manage to get it through someone...there will be no custom for it right?? coz i will buy it on sale and price should be about 10-13k max... also few more important i want to know...the voltage output says 120 ac..india is 240 ac....so i will need voltage converter but very high power one to support this right?? what kinda of voltage converter would i need here??how much will it cost?? and also does yamaha give international warranty.otherwise very risky getting from there and then get no warranty at all. also one more thing...my idea is to go for this and use it with my 2.1 speaker for few months and then go for good 5.1-7.1 speakers...how much would a good st of 7.1 speaker cost in india??just the speaker. If you cant find try contacting yamaha usa website asking them what is voltage range as you are staying in usa and will soon move to india and you want to know if your product will work there which u ll purchage in usa i bet you will get reply. if it does not support indian voltage then you have to use external device there are many cheap ones available in india like these http://www.esupply.in/products/mx-voltage-converter-1000w-converts-220v-to-110v-1/281 i never used one so dont know how good are they. i highly doubt yamaha would provide international warranty for this kind of product. but you can also confirm this by emailing yamaha usa website. but if i were you i would talk to the guy sameuun recommended maybe he can sell cheaper. 30-35k would be worth buying indian version with warranty and no voltage issue no shipping issue. atleast talk to that guy. plus the above amazon link you gave have only used or refurnished NOT new most of them would be out of warranty already.
