I'm as hardcore a meat eater as they come, infact I'm almost exclusively a meat eater. And I do mean any animal that can be served. Yeah, summer's a bitch always coz of that. But. I really don't get the love for Bacon. Never liked it, not one bit. The taste is just off putting for me.

All my fellow meat lovers, even if they are quite limited to the type and quantity of meat they eat, they still love bacon. So it has to be me. I don't like it.

So what's the most extreme/exotic animal/ animal part that you guys have had?

For me it's goat testes (don't squirm. Try it at Md. Ali Road in Ramzan) , zabaan(tongue soup) and bater (quail)

My sis in her college data had gone even more extreme: deer (game) and snake :P

As far as I've heard bacon strips are the worst. As it is, our indian food is high on oil, spices and fat. So even 3-4 times a year is a big enough risk.

You sound like my wife. And in this scenario, don't take that as a compliment.

That's a bit of an exaggeration.. Agreed that it is high in fat content but Its used more as a flavour enhancer or a topping more than a proper dish. So it's not like you are going to pound tonnes of it down your throat. Proper balance is necessary but a little indulgence doesn't do any harm

A couple of times a month on an average with a general balanced diet is not bad at all..
