A DC from an internet breakdown can result in a corrupted download, but from what I've experienced, it doesn't really result in one. You can use a ps proxy or ps3 dm to further reduce the risk. When you are downloading something from PSN+ and if you get disconnected, switch off your modem. When the power comes back up, pause the active downloads from Download mgmt.
