reaper Posted August 18, 2008 Report Share Posted August 18, 2008 ^^ u need to try and convince him that its not a commercial import but a personal one .. may be he will ask for a 100 - 200 .. just pay it and get it over with ,... this sucks!!! this usually tends to happen with bulk imports .. u should have asked him to mark it as a gift ... he should have put the invoice along with the game!!!! ask him to send the scanned copy of the invoice to you ASAP!!!! AtheK Posted August 18, 2008 Report Share Posted August 18, 2008 just went to there office and back...payed him 200 buck bribe....he calculated 150 rupees as duty and it will come with the postman...and i need to pay postman another 100 rupees bribe...so 250 rupees in total.... so total cost of the game increased by 225 bucks each but atleast anush we will get it. Its either pay them a couple of hundred and get the game or stand the chance of losing whatever youve already paid for the game. Quite sad really. They have held the game and to get back a MERE VIDEO GAME i have to submit following documents... Invoice xerox copy of import export licence code noc from rbi technical write up certificate to claim exemption under any particular notification :shock3: i believe these are called scare tactics so tht u pay them a good bribe.........these rules apply to importers.......my firm imports 100-150 tonnes of iron and steel on average per month ........and we just need to submit a xerox copy of import export license......pay bribe if u r OK with it........but if u stay firm on u r stnad u will get the game after some heated arguments albiet a bit delay Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
