Maverik Posted April 16, 2008 Report Share Posted April 16, 2008 PS3 Firmware 2.30 Goes Live With New PlayStation Store Boston (dbTechno) - The time has come for Sony PS3 owners to upgrade their next-gen console. The Sony PS3 firmware update v2.30 has gone live, and with it, the new PlayStation Store has launched. The new PS3 firmware update and PlayStation Store have gone live. The biggest update to the PS3 itself is that the PS3 will now be able to support Blu-ray Disc DTS-HD audio. The other big update is with the brand new PlayStation Store, which has received a complete redesign. Loads of new content is set to flood the updated PlayStation Store in the coming days, including the Metal Gear Online Beta, new add-ons to Warhawk such as Warhawk: Operation Broken Mirror, and an update to Lair with the Diabolical Dragons Pack and Skyguard Upgrade pack. Sony is also putting out new trailers for Grand Theft Auto IV as well as other games, and demos.
