(A)Kira
The idiot tried to BURN effigies to regain his health If he can't even read item descriptions, he has no business playing this game.
KyoyaHibari
Darklurker has to be most difficult boss in this game. Especially since I was playing as a melee character, it was close to impossible. Somehow managed it. The ancient dragon is also very very difficult. Yeah darklurker is amazing boss. Ancient dragon kills in 1 shot so its pretty tough but the fight itself is not that interesting.
Aftrunner
There are some pretty valid criticisms in that, not just for DaS2 but for the whole series. But its gonna get overshadowed by the click bait the rest of the article and the score is.

Crimson-Ivy
I have collected 3-4 Boss souls . When can i trade it with boss weapon ? I am currently in Belfry Luna area . Straid of Olaphis. You can also trade with Ornifex later in the game.
Tyler
I have collected 3-4 Boss souls . When can i trade it with boss weapon ? I am currently in Belfry Luna area . Pretty close from there actually. The first boss soul trader is in Lost Bastille, just before you go to Sinner's Rise in a room full of exploding mummies. Note that you need an item (Fragrant Branch of Yore) to free him. The item is found in multiple places. The closest is right after the Lost Sinner boss (Sinner's Rise) and there are a couple of them in Harvest Valley. I suggest saving it though as you need at least one branch to progress further into the game. So free the guy only when you have at least two in the inventory. Unlike DaS1 there are many 'must have' weapons that can be traded for boss souls. And the few which are worth having are only found towards the end of the game. The second boss soul trader is found later in the game, first in Shaded Ruins and then in Brightstone Cove Tseldora. Don't worry about that for now though.

spindoctor
For a complete newcomer burning an effigy to regain health is not really idiotic. If I'm correct, spin did it too. I remember reading it. Not everyone has the same experience, taste or even the same playing style in games. To judge someone (esp a newcomer) like that is a bit silly. Yup, I did, although it wasn't to get back health. Was trying to regain humanity. Instead I think it blocks all multiplayer activity for an hour or something right? KyoyaHibari
Yeah blocks invading for 30 min. With very few people invading as red phantoms that is pretty much useless. Might be a bit useful in belfry Luna but instead of wasting an effigy you can run into boss fog as the fog is nearby.
Crimson-Ivy
The covenants are well designed in this game compared to dark souls 1. The most fun being rat covenant. Bell tower covenant is tough on the host. What covenant are you guys in?

Bell tower covenant is tough on the host. What covenant are you guys in? Mostly Blood bros, Rat bros and Bell Keepers. IMO, both Rat bro and Bell Keeper covenant are not fair. Rat covenant is for trolling purpose so it is somewhat acceptable, but 2 Bell Keeper vs 1 Trespasser is just ridiculous. BTW, are you playing on PS3? Please add me. Heaven Angel
I hope Dark Souls lovers have already completed the game, now i want to start this one so which class should i start with? suggest the best class to complete this without trouble This is my first soul game. I think soldier, knight are the most common ones Played for an hr, game is good but very dark, scary and death everywhere (which is suppose to be) died almost 50 time in that time, can't collect souls and i turn into hollow. my health gets very low, can't defeat that idiot big green monster.. with no instructions, map or objective? How can i get into man from hollow? bonefire doesn't work
meaNmachine
^^ LOL, don't expect any Hand-holding / Spoon-feeding like most modern games. Play with patience, observe your environment and talk to NPCs to know more about your objective and stuff. Always remember - If you die, it is mostly your own fault. Learn from your mistakes and try to get better. You don't need any map, quest marker and stuff like that. If you are still facing problem then check wiki or ask here. Community discussion is must for this game. Start with Knight class, later you can turn into whatever you want. There is no Restriction. Also welcome to Dark Souls - How can i get into man from hollow? bonefire doesn't work Bonfire only refills your health bar, estus flasks (main healing item), Spells and also repairs your equipment. But remember, it also re-spawns all enemies except a few and bosses. Every time you die, you lose your max health bar (- 50% is the limit). Use human effigy to regain humanity and reset your health bar. But don't waste them as they are very rare in the beginning. There is also a ring that reduces HP loss after dying, Ring of binding found just outside Old Dragon Slayer boss fog gate. EDIT- Most important tip, Don't kill any NPCs. Some of them look like monsters and people hit them by mistake Don't do that. Remember - If you can't lock on to anything/anyone then don't attack. Aftrunner
Weapons automatically repair when you rest at a bonfire. Use a human effigy like you use humanity in previous games to become human. DONT burn it in the bonfire. FWIW though, I would save those effigies until you need it for a boss fight or something. They are harder to get than Humanities in Dark Souls. Also dont bother farming things betwixt. They are worthless. Co op actually works in this game so co op some bosses and you will have more souls than you know what to do with.

Why did you get butthurt? I was not laughing at you cause you are finding this game difficult. Game is tough for EVERY new player. But soon when you get the hang of it, things get better. Actually it isn't a tough game, it is CHALLENGING. The game expects you to learn from your mistakes and get better. I have said it before and will say it again - Dark Souls brings the worst/best out of you as gamer, depends on how you see it. In the beginning it is same for EVERYONE - 'wtf is this sh*t' 'I can't take it anymore' 'this is unfair' etc etc. But after putting in some time your playing style improves and you think differently. You will enjoy the challenge. The satisfaction of killing a boss (after dying many times) or clearing an area that you first thought was impossible, is priceless. No other RPG can match that satisfaction IMO. remember Robert Bruce and the spider ??????? in Dark Souls...... try and die...try again and u will die....and keep trying untill u feel like a boss .....and ONLY then thou shalt succeed !! THIS. About your question - Consume/Use human effigy to regain humanity. Burning effigy at a bonfire has a different result - You block MP activity i.e no summoning/invasion for 30 mins.
