Aftrunner
Holy f**k this looks insane (For souls level ). Does the PS4 version look close to this? I have a Lappy with a 970m , think I should go for the PS4 or PC? I am leaning towards PS4 a bit because my friends have it. A 970m along with any half decent processor will definitely give you better performance than the PS4. But friends to co op with is always a bigger draw IMO. Plus the SofS version is more based towards co op and MP. You can have more people at a time (I believe the total number of white phantoms is now 3+you and two invaders if you really wanna party) and a lot of areas and bosses work pretty well for co op. So get where ever you are more likely to play with friends.
Big Boss
Loving this game. Killed the stone giant in 1st try. Very easy compared to cleric beast in BB. Now I have 10000 souls. Tell me which stats to invest in. I am going for right hand Axe and left hand crossbow build. There are so many stats to level up its damn confusing. KyoyaHibari
Invest in strength, health in the beginning. Then later on improve stamina and equipment load. Few points in adaptability will help smooth rolling but you can improve it in midgame, not required in the beginning. Also try magic or faith around midgame, they r more powerful than meele. Don't use crossbow in left hand, it isn't that good. use shield insterd.
Big Boss
Well since I am coming from Bloodborne, I am used to ranged weapon in left hand. Is shield really useful? I mean can we beat the game without it? Does it parry bosses as well? I found it really difficult to parry normal enemies with it.
KyoyaHibari
Parrying is hard unlike bb. Even harder is dd2 compared to ds1. Need lot of practice so leave it for now. You can block attacks, blocking helps a lot more than having a ranged weapon. Crossbow won't even do much damage and its slow.

Both builds gives you PLENTY ranged attack options and it is tons of fun. I have finished this game 5 times with 5 different builds. Faith build is my favorite. I mean what can be cooler than ability to infuse weapon with lightning, throwing lightning spears, stunning enemies with a cool AOE move etc. This game has LOTS of build options and progression has depth unlike Bloodborne. Shield is very important. Most shields give you status boosts like stamina recovery, fire resistance etc.
Big Boss
OK thanks for the tips. I will upload my gameplay video tomorrow to give you guys an idea about my play style. Also arrows did a lot of damage to stone giant. I think a single arrow did 124 points damage. He was easier than the enemies for me. Also why can't I burn human effigy? It says can't be burnt at bonfire?
KyoyaHibari
Giant is easy. can easily avoid and shoot arrows. But later enemies easily close in and attack. 124 is pretty low damage, swords do lot more. I think you can only burn them at primordial binafite. Not sure
WhiteWolf
OK thanks for the tips. I will upload my gameplay video tomorrow to give you guys an idea about my play style. It says can't be burnt at bonfire? You can only burn them in those areas where you can be invaded...You burn them to reduce player invasions in your game.. To become human, you have to consume Effigies in your inventory or pray at Shrine of Amana later in the game...Burning them reduces player invasions...Don't burn them if you are playing in offline mode Edited May 2, 2015 by Zodak™
Aftrunner
*beep* you Fume knight you son of a bitch. Gonna have to two hand and dodge sh*t. Mofo hits right through the great sheild at times. How is that even possible?
WhiteWolf
Rolling and dodging his attacks is the best strategy..Blocking is not that effective against him.... Edited May 2, 2015 by Zodak™
WhiteWolf
holyshit Afty Don't miss Sir Allone Knight boss fight in Ivory King DLC...It's quite good Edited May 2, 2015 by Zodak™
Aftrunner
Well I cant get to Allone cause the Fume knight wont die and I refuse to summon till I am legit pissed at the f**ker. His light sword attacks are stupidly fast and hard to dodge. Gonna take a while. :/ Also the most apt description of the boss-
WhiteWolf
You can summon upto two NPCs for this fight right?
Aftrunner
NPCs are useless. Steelhart Ellie can tank a decent amount of damage but she does almost no damage in return and buffs the bosses health. You are better off solo or with a human summon. Anyway, killed EVERYONE. Fume Knight. Dead. Allone. Dead. Allana. Dead. Ivory king. Dead. All DLCs done. Only bosses that are left are Vendrick, The Gank Squad feat. Havel from the DLC. And the Twin cats from the other DLC. Will kill Vendrick. Probably not the Gank squad as the run up to that boss fight is total bullshit. Ditto for the Twin Cats. Couple of last screen shots. Some really lovely skyboxes in the DLC. Much better than the vanilla game.
WhiteWolf
Fume Knight. Dead. Allone. Dead. Allana. Dead. Ivory king. Dead. What about the Dragon? Only bosses that are left are Vendrick, The Gank Squad feat. Havel from the DLC. And the Twin cats from the other DLC. Will kill Vendrick. Probably not the Gank squad as the run up to that boss fight is total bullshit. Ditto for the Twin Cats. Magic Smeltor Demon boss is also left in Iron passage.... And Aldia boss also left..You have to kill him for alternate ending....
Big Boss
I am placing this on back burner now. Will platinum Bloodborne first. Only one trophy remains

Can't do alternate endings cause I f**ked up a dialogue choice I think.
