hey guys that price is too high ! how about we write a letter/ request/ petition to bring down the prices to a more tolerable level say less than 1500 Rs ? or is that price a temporary effect of rupee depreciation ?

Namco Bandai listens - trust me! I wrote to them in 2011 when they had initially planned NOT to release Witcher 2 in India (hardcore friends who are witcher fans lost patience and bought from steam) but me and a few guys wrote to them and guess what? !

a top executive from Namco replied but he said they had no plans as of now so i wrote to CDPR and those guys said they will do what they can ( i gave up hope), then (2 days later i think ) the guy from Namco replies with good news- and a few weeks later Witcher 2 was available in retail form in India ( and they sent me a complimentary retail copy of the game  probably the CDPR guys had something to do with it )

so we may need to write to FROM SOFTWARE as well!

Also i added that if they dont release here in retail at a lower price they will lose customers to piracy ( not everyone can afford to buy on steam)

so anyone wanna start a petition or a letter ??

^^^ Come on bhai..........its DARK SOULS 2.....you will GET 100x more than what you pay for.......!!! ;)

Moreover in 2011 Rupee was at 45 level and today it is at 60 level....soon going to be 62...--->depreciated by 33.33%--->dark souls in 2011=1500...add 33.33% of 1500 to that amount=1999 rs.!!!!! ;)

Blame your finance min. chiddu for this....FROM soft is Innocenttttttttttt !!!!!!!!!!

I will not mind pitching in that even if I won't purchase this title, can we add The Witcher 3 to the list as well keeping mind the entire melodrama over the previous titles retail release here.

P.S. -- Did you get a Premium Edition complementary from them?

yup it was, inside a big black box containing a map, glossy guide book, paper kraft, curse coin ,letter and OST dvd!

Yes, I bought the same thing, worth the ~1500/- spent on it.

Anyway tell me when you want to start / write that petition to NAMCO Bandai. Cheers!

Found this interesting titbit-

You may have heard some quotes by the Dark Souls 2 director Tomohiro Shibuya about the game being "more straightforward and more understandable," which raised a lot of suspicion from the series' die-hard fanbase, but the move towards accessibility is extremely minor. This time around, you'll be able to use any bonfire to warp to any other previously discovered bonfire from the get-go. This doesn't necessarily make the game easier, just less time-consuming.

Another way Dark Souls 2 will be more user-friendly is that it will allow you to choose your stats first, then funnel you into whichever class is more suited to your playstyle, rather than make you choose the class straight away.

So I'm guessing Gwyn's reign/his predecessor's and before the war on dragons and Seath's butthurt defection.

Maybe a reason why we raged war on dragons, how it happened, the war, Seath's science fair etc.

Dark Souls 2 pyromancy, guard break & miracles explained

Dark Souls 2 has been given the preview treatment in this week’s new edition of Famitsu. The game’s combat was a key focus of the piece, in which pyromancy, guard breaking mechanics and miracles were discussed, among other things.

The guard break move is similar to the riposte in Dark Souls, but is used after breaking through an enemies block like a follow-up move. Players can also click L3 while running to jump, rather than double tapping the run button like in Dark Souls.

While aiming with a bow, you can fire two arrow types without having to go back into your inventory to change your ammo. You can fire the first arrow type with R1, and R2 for the second type.

The Soul Arrow spell will return, along with Soul Spear, which makes magic cascade from the sky to damage enemies. There’s also a magic greatsword, a fire whip pyromancy spell and a new fireball magic typ that harms both enemies and the caster.

There’s also a new Replenishment miracle that increased both your attack and defence, a lightning spear spell and a Dark Orb item that syphons stamina from enemies.

Finally, you must use Life Gems to restore your heroes health, edible grass that restores your number of magic uses, magic bombs and Estus Flasks are back in some form.

So does the bonfire replenish magic uses or is it only from that grass?

The arrow change is really good. But since they're buffing up the bows so much there has to be some drawback to it, maybe arrows are very scarce. I mean, after all, this is Dark Souls.

Dark Souls II to feature more open-world elements than original

Dark Souls II director promises open-ended structure and says players "could even start halfway through the game, depending on how willing or how brave they are."

"Freedom of exploration is something we want to prioritise for Dark Souls II, even more so than Dark Souls 1," said director Yui Tanimura in an interview with Digital Spy.

One goal for Dark Souls II is for the player to have more "freedom to explore," adds Tanimura. "We realise in Dark Souls there were some certain orders, like ringing the bells or going to Anor Londo, which is not necessarily a bad thing."

In Dark Souls II, From Software is hoping for the players to have enough freedom that "things don't have to necessarily be done in a certain order."

"We're hoping that if the player tries hard enough, or are willing enough, they could even start halfway through the game, depending on how willing or how brave they are."

"You won't have to follow a certain line, it will be unique for all players, I think," concluded Tanimura.
