ALPHA17
Try to get into the Souls series, you won't regret it. I will try, no promises though. Already caught in a flood of back-log(s). Alpha, ho sake toh play Demon souls also ...better than dark souls ...imho. No consoles, Sire. And buying now in my opinion is not a wise choice. ALPHA17
^^ Maybe the Q1 -->Q2 of 2014, as of now that part of the year seems barren to me (no releases that interest me).
(A)Kira
They still haven't revealed whats going to replace Humanity. Its driving me crazy thinking about it. Most of the trailers reveal that you are still Undead, so maybe Humanity hasn't been discovered yet? The dark soul hasn't been split? Heaven Angel
Dark Souls II will be arriving in North America on March 11, 2014, with a European release date three days later on March 14. The two dates reflect the launch of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, with PC release to come “shortly after the console versions.”

Heaven Angel
How Dark Souls 2 will make life even harder According to game director Yui Tanimura, players can lose up to 50 percent of their max health by repeatedly dying as an undead. Dark Souls 2 will also see changes to how players can summon others to their own world for cooperative play. Players summoned to your world will now only be able to join you for a limited time; how long depends on how experienced your cooperative phantom ally is. The more enemies a summoned players has killed, the shorter they'll live in phantom form. The beta version we played featured six pre-built characters: warrior, soldier, sorcerer, temple knight, dual swordsman and hunter. Each comes equipped with a variety of weapons, armor and spells, but players will be able to find, purchase and equip replacements, as well as level up their character. Dark Souls 2 now lets players equip up to three items (swords, wands, shields, bows, etc.) per hand and up to 10 items (Estus Flask, life gems, homeward bones and other consumables) in their quick access inventory slots. We really only scratched the surface of the Dark Souls 2 beta during our hands-on time. That was in part due to the extremely difficult nature of the demo, which throws more than a few black phantom versions of regular enemies at the player. Humanity from Dark Souls has also been completely removed for the sequel. http://www.polygon.com/2013/9/18/4743612/dark-souls-2-hands-on-beta-preview-tgs
Aftrunner
Hunters set is back. Thats just mean. No more summoning a phantom and watching him beat the level for you. (A)Kira
Holy f**k yes. Going to die one day before my birthday. And so now everyone can be invaded? Is no one safe? And what does "can lose 50% of health by dying repeatedly in undead form" mean? Could it be akin to being cursed? And I think there wont be any pyromancers as fire spell are now also cast with a wand.So is it a prequel or a sequel? ALPHA17
And what does "can lose 50% of health by dying repeatedly in undead form" mean? Could it be akin to being cursed? From the phrasing it seems that if you die repeatedly in Phantom form your health points will slide down to ~50% (incremental) of your original health point pool. (A)Kira
Ah yes, that seems to be the case, I think you can see it in the last screenshot, it looks like there is a cap on the health bar. Anyway stamina is more important Any mention of Poise returning

ALPHA17
Could it be akin to being cursed? Hey, Beelzebub, I think I found the answer for your cursed query, Also: remember being cursed in Dark Souls? Remember how much that sucked? Well, that appears to be a stock standard mechanic in its sequel: players who die while undead will see a gradual depletion of their health bar until they use a Human Effigy unit, which will replace the Humanity in Dark Souls. Prepare to die indeed. Source: PC Gamer Hope this helps, Cheerio!
