DS2 should run fine on your system...

rehne de bhai...sab ne bola MGS rising bhi will run fine sala...800x600 karna pada to get 60FPS. I honestly dont just blame my gfx card problem ..it is level of optimization which past few pc version games has gone so poor that at times it is hard to consider pc version over console version.

Only few games have been up to mark ...example DMC - the pc version was great.

Considering that Dark Souls was From Software's first outing on the PC, I don't hold it against them that the port fell short of expectation. Thankfully MODDER's picked up the slack and moved with alacrity to fill in the gap.

I think Dark Souls 2 should ideally be a better experience on PC. But won't hold my breath for a total flawless experience.

Arey they dont optimise for lower to mid end machines( i dont know what to call my rig- low or mid end) anyways quite some time back games like Mass effect series, lost planet etc were so well optimise that even when i had 8600 gt i was able to play ...now i am talking about that standard of that time compared to my gfx card of that time....but over the years though level of optimisation is gone bad imo.

From actually said sometime ago in an interview that this won't be a bad port , and acknowledged that DS was rushed because of Namco Bandai trying out the PC populace. Unlike DS , DS II is being developed on the PC from day 1 and then the last-gen devkits. Really good sign this and titles like Castlevania LOS2 will set a standard for developers ( both japanaese & western ) transcending into the new generation of consoles where they have a PC/last-gen game in development and the PC version obliterating the latter.

^ I never heard of optimisation issues with the original Dark Souls.

Most issues up on a quick Google search are incidents where a 'gamer' was trying to run the game on an imbalanced build, Intel Core 2 era processor with a GTX670 on Windows XP and so on.

Also, for more pressing issues like lack of Full HD rendering, MODDER's picked up the scraps and made it happen.

Pretty much similar thoughts. Although considering their inexperience and seeing what happened to titles like ROME II and BattleField 4 in recent times, I won't be surprised if another faux pas is handed to us on an ornate platter to us.

Anyway, hope the final game meets and exceeds expectations for all the ardent followers.
