Where do u get the Ring of life? The health bar coming down to 50% is the biggest pain ever for me.

And how do u farm those effigies? I just find them randomnly. I still have 3 after using up two.

You can increase your health bar from 50% to 75%. For that you need Ring of binding, found in the Tower of Flame area.

Ring of life and protection is different (found in No Man's Wharf) . That ring nullifies death, but breaks after you die.

Binding Ring is in a chest just before the Dragonslayer boss in Heide's Tower Of Flame.

Effigies are found as fixed loot or dropped randomly by dogs in the Lost Bastille area. You can buy a few from the Old Hag vendor as well. There's a time when they will seem to be painfully rare and valuable but once you have the Binding Ring and do some co-op you'll have plenty of them stocked up.

It breaks but it can be repaired (for 3000 souls) and used again :)

And yeah that chest before the boss is kinda easy to miss since there's a corpse with an item right next to it. Check again.

The bridge needs to be lowered first to get to the cathedral. Just run past all the knights and kill the last one on the platform below the cathedral. A switch will pop up and you will find the chest containing ring of binding ( just before the boss door).

Alright (y) ! Thanx a ton ! Will get to it, I did run past everyone, grabbed whatever was in the chest before the boss and died in the boss fight. After that went to the forest instead while my nephew kept farming those giant knights for his Sorceror character. Will visit there today,

You can dual wield any two weapons. But for power stance (special move, attacking with both left and right hand weapon at the same time) you have to equip Same / compatible weapons. Not quite sure which weapons are compatible. You cannot block but you can parry with certain curved swords like Falchion.

I personally don't like dual wielding at all. It is always better to use a shield. You can always two hand your weapon for extra damage.

Edit : Just checked. For power stance you need weapons of the same class and 1.5 times the stat requirement.

There was so much hype about duel wielding before the release. But havent found a single guy who does it in co op yet.

Still wondering if it is worth it.

i sometimes dual wield for fun. falchion and rapier.

not worth it though especially for the first run through an area

So anyone found those 3 pigs who gave me hell when I was playing DS game for first time? They take a lot of hits. Killing them was one of the most satisfying experiences in this game for me so far. f**k those pigs.

I have come to the conclusion that those exploding mummies are the worst enemies in the game.

BTW I think I've defeated the first 'major' boss of the game, the Lost Sinner.

Tip for this fight - do the Belfry Luna area first. The key you get there helps a lot in this boss fight. Belfry Luna is a hidden area btw and is only accessible after using a Pharros Lockstone in Lost Bastille.

The pigs in Majula? LOL yeah, they can outright kill a low level player.
