Thanks to my nephew's frustration now I realise that some of the "locked" doors can be bashed open. An Estus flask shard in the room above the second bonfire in the forest of giants. He got angry and was bashing the door and it broke open :D !

Yeah or in some cases if you hit the door, enemies will open it from the other side, however 'be wary of ambush'.

That is the Bell Keepers covenant. And it's great for farming titanite chunks. One chunk earned for every poor trespasser who decides to step inside :P

Yup, pretty useful stuff. I am going to farm more chunks before I proceed to the next area.

Yesterday, two players invaded my world as Bell Keepers (sorcerer and a guy with a an ultra greatsword). Managed to kill both of them using poison darts and Heide's Sword +5. After defeating the boss, I joined the covenant and it was payback time. Good covenant for Online play.

Has anyone used the Soul Vessel? How does it work exactly? I m thinking about switching to a magic build.

You have to take it back to the women at Things Betwixt. It will allow you to redistribute your stats while keeping your current soul level.

Probably playing the game and avoiding spoilers? Then again, Dark Souls is the kind of game which has to be discussed and played at the same time. The whole community aspect of these games is one of the best things about them.

BTW PROTIP: When you unfreeze the petrified girl pulling the lever near Majula DO NOT pull the lever while she's still there. Talk to her, give her what she wants and let her move to Majula first. She's a Pyromancy vendor.

Champions Covenant - you're hardcore bro!

Anyway, SL 98 (I think), currently in Harvest Valley, 12 or so bosses down (2 primal), deaths - will have to check but all I can say is a LOT.

Taking on the Pursuer right now, got him down to half his health on the first try and died due to shoddy rolling :/

I'll try summoning next time.

And there was a lot of talk of how you could go anywhere in the game even very early, but it's been pretty linear right now. Does it open up after Pursuer or it going to be like after Anor Londo type?

SL 74, 68 deaths, 11 bosses defeated, currently in harvest valley. Dex build.

@Tyler, how should I redistribute my stats for a SL70+ battle mage build? Int? Faith? Att? ... Starting class was knight.

Magic makes the game slightly easy but some bosses still need melee so you need to fall back on melee weapons. For a Battlemage build I would invest in STR/DEX/ATTN/ADP/INT and little in FTH/VIT/END. Also apart from the stats you really need the right gear for a magic build - Clear Bluestone Ring +1, Dark Magic Hood, Archdrake Staff and the Lion Mage set are mandatory as they all boost damage and casting time. I finally finished collecting all these so I can help you out.

You can go to areas you aren't supposed to. In fact I'd say in that regard it's a lot less controlled than Dark Souls. Once you finish FoTG and Tower Of Flame, it's possible to go to Huntsman Copse, No Man's Wharf, Lost Bastille, Shaded Woods (if you find the item you need), Grave Of Saints/The Gutter/Black Gulch from Majula. All of these areas in turn connect to others.

@alpha17 -- AAP kis area mein hain ?? Ya PC ka wait kar rhe hain ?

Will pick it up for the PC, if I ever will Sir.

Glad to see you are enjoying it to the gills. Other threads have been turned into next-generation blood-feuding grounds. It feels nice to come here, read a bit, watch the Vatividya lore / character videos and have a good time.
