I'm not at all getting invaded in Belfry. I want to PvP :/

That can't be right. I take one step into belfry Luna or Sol and I'm ganked almost instantly by atleast 2 invaders (sometimes 3). Usually from ppl buffed to the teeth with crystal enhanced weapons n everything. It was horrible when I set foot in these areas first time.

^^ Whoa

Okay finished NG... what a ride! The game felt like a long journey, I felt like I've been to so many places, conquered so many challenges and became really powerful. I'd put it on par with Demon's and Dark Souls. I still have a soft spot for DaS1 so that remains my favorite but this is pretty much what I wanted from a sequel.

Onward to NG+!

PS: I didn't attempt the super-hard optional bosses, though I did collect 4 of the Giant Souls. Maybe I'll give them a shot before NG+.

^^ Me neither, can't wait for better visuals (hopefully) and dat 60 fps!

Also I'm thinking of putting together a short guide for an INT/Magic build. It really made some of the fights trivial towards the end. The last few bosses went down faster than regular enemies.

There are a LOT of bosses in the game. So many that by the end you tend to forget many of them. That said, there are a good number of memorable fights - The Pursuer, The Lost Sinner, The Executioner's Chariot, Duke's Dear Freja, The Rotten, Smelter Demon, Royal Rat Authority, Looking Glass Knight and a few others. As for being challenging, I'd really say it depends on what build you're using. Many of the fights would have been hard with a completely melee build or vice versa could have been easier if I could use better shields and really powerful melee weapons. There are actually different ways you can fight bosses, the Chariot for example can be fought differently than the 'intended' way. A few bosses need you to do something specific to make them slightly easier but can be fought straight up as well. And as far as I know there are at least 3 bosses I haven't fought because they're completely optional. They're some of the hardest fights in the game.

Overall the game gets better and more challenging as it goes on. This doesn't necessarily apply to bosses. Some of the later areas are quite tough to get through, more than actually defeating the boss. The difficulty and challenge cannot be measured by the bosses alone.

If I had to pick one boss which gave me a lot of trouble, it would be (believe it or not for those who have played the game) The Rotten. This was mainly because I fought him a lot earlier than I was supposed to and being a mainly ranged build it was really hard to get good distance from him. In the end I just ended up dodging/rolling and two handing my sword - which worked wonderfully. Also I don't think my mage would have been able to solo The Lost Sinner. That was one fight where I absolutely had to use a summon.

Is Playing demon souls necessary for hopping on to dark soul series?

Not really, no.

The only advantage you will have over a completely fresh play-through is practise and anticipation of what you will get.

What area should I go to after No Mans Wharf?

Lost Bastille. If you've already done that (and I think you have) then Huntsman Copse > Harvest Valley > Earthen Peak.

Nope.

Anyway, started NG+ after Ancient Dragon roasted me too many times. I'm pretty sure I could have beaten him with enough patience (my spells were doing massive damage to him) but the damn run to the boss is very frustrating. No bonfire close to him and there are like 12 super tough enemies in a way, and you can't really run past them. So screw it.

So NG+ has been pretty easy to far and like DaS1/DeS you can progress much faster once you've beaten the game. Two-shot The Pursuer with Soul Geyser lol. There are a few phantoms who spawn once in some areas. Still, I'm not looking forward to the Lost Sinner fight and I heard she gets two pyromancer minions on NG+.
