GeraltOfRivia
Quote Dark Horse Comics is publishing a two-book set of Shinkawa-san’s work in the Metal Gear universe. This definitive collection of Yoji Shinkawa’s work contains 800 pages of concept and key art for characters, weapons, and vehicles from Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Although Dark Horse Comics’ version of The Art of Metal Gear Solid I-IV has been translated into English, it’s important to note that the Japanese handwriting on the images included have been left intact. The Art of Metal Gear Solid I-IV is currently available for pre-order through Amazon for $79.99. The collection is projected to be shipped on May 8, 2018.http://www.dualshockers.com/metal-gear-solid-art-i-iv-yoji-shinkawa-dark-horse-comics/

Black_Hawk
Needed to get into a long game for the winter months ahead and this one fit the bill perfectly. Started it a few days ago and have been wading through the main missions and side ops. What has drawn me particularly into the game is the planning one needs to spend when presented with a new mission. Taking the stealth route has been really fun to do along with sniping enemies from long distances. This game has such a beefy arsenal of weapons to choose and upgrade! To the one's who have completed the game in it's entirety I need to ask... did you patiently do all of the side operations? Most I have noticed so far are divided into parts and do get a bit monotonous thus I'm asking. So, far what I'm doing is cleaning up all side ops as they are unlocking with my progress before getting into the main missions. That way I hope there will be lesser straddler missions when I finally head towards the end of the game. However, I'm not going to be doing those silly target practice missions at the Mother Base... those seem rather annoying.

I completed Act 1 main missions, then completed all 157 side missions in Act 2 including new yellow missions. And then Act 1 main missions again on harder difficulty which is required to get true ending.

I'm planning to complete all side ops as well, except the target shooting missions as aforementioned in my last post. They are just not my thing. I'm going to take my time with this game. Btw, approximately how long did it take you to complete the game mate? Edited November 3, 2017 by Black_Hawk
WhiteWolf
Over 100 hours I think. Not sure how game counts playtime. I was also doing fobs along with story missions. Game gets repetitive once you reach act 2. I was really enjoying the gameplay, so I decided to complete everything. It's one of my favourite game of this gen. Love the stealth gameplay.
Black_Hawk
The game has extremely large maps but most of the areas outside of the enemy encampments and guard posts are plain barren with the exception of green spots where you can pluck those plants from. Traversing through the maps in every mission in Afghanistan now feels the same. Also, the fact that some of the side operations appear in the same mission outposts makes it a tad hackneyed at times.
