Big Boss
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-08-15-sony-had-to-re-do-work-on-the-last-guardian-still-a-ps3-game "The team is still working on it very hard," he replied. "There are certain technical issues they've been working on. That's the period of time when the game, looking from the outside, doesn't seem to be making much progress. But internally there is a lot of work going into creating the title.""We had the game playable," Yoshida explained. "At one point we felt that it would be produced for a certain time period. That was the time we prematurely talked about the launch window. But it turned out the technical issues are much harder to solve. So the engineering team had to go back and re-do some of the work they had done." Some have suggested the game has been switched from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4, which is reportedly due out late next year. But Yoshida insisted The Last Guardian remains a PS3 title. "The game is developed on PS3," he said. Edited August 15, 2012 by The_Rock

VelivolusDas
Last Guardian still coming to PS3, says Sony dev Team Ico-developed title 'revealed too early' The Last Guardian is still coming to the PS3, a developer working on the project has claimed. Speaking to Kotaku, the Japanese dev, who asked not to be named, said the title was definitely still in development despite numerous problems afflicting the game. The developer also claimed the title was still being made for the PS3, and had not been moved to the PS4. "I give you my word that it exists," claimed the source. "We are working on it." The Sony developer admitted the project had probably been revealed to the public too early given then "ambitious" nature of the title. He added however that The Last Guardian's exclusion from the Tokyo Game Show was likely down to Sony's recent reluctance to promote games till they are close to release, rather than the well documented problems of staff departures and development troubles on the game. "There are lots of pieces of the puzzle," said the developer. "It's a matter of getting them to fit together." Since the title's first reveal in March 2009, The Last Guardian has yet to be seen in playable form, with Sony Worldwide studios president Shuhei Yoshida admitting the game had suffered from a "very tough technical issue". The games development has also been affected by a number of high profile departures from Team Ico including The Last Guardian creator Fumito Ueda and Shadow of the Colossus producer Kenji Kaido. Despite leaving Sony however, Ueda is said to still be "committed to completing" the title, and is working on the project on a contract basis. playstation
Could The Last Guardian End Up Being A PS4 Launch Title? It might be absolutely essential for the PlayStation 4 to have at least one hugely anticipated title on store shelves for the hardware launch. Might one extremely long-awaited game fit the bill...? Sony continues to maintain that The Last Guardian, first unveiled over three years ago, is still in development. The saga surrounding this game is lengthy and troublesome, as creator Fumito Ueda left Sony to go freelance, Sony president Shuhei Yoshida cited "technical difficulties" multiple times, and we've seen next to nothing in terms of new information and media. Basically zip. Now, Amazon.com has sent out emails to those who pre-ordered the game, saying the title has been delayed to "January 2, 2014," which sounds like just another placeholder date. A few things to consider: Firstly, most all of Sony's internal studios are currently working on next-gen projects; this has been well documented, and the company has even talked about the juggling required for such teams to produce PS3, Vita, and PS4 games. Secondly, there's a very good chance the PS4 will be out by the time The Last Guardian finally arrives. Thirdly and lastly, it's always important to consider the original vision for the project. Ueda has never been anything less than ambitious, and I wouldn't be surprised to learn that current hardware wasn't capable of achieving that lofty vision. Ubisoft just said that Assassin's Creed III almost didn't make it this generation due to the sheer size and scope of the game. Perhaps another element that comes into play is Sony's acknowledgement that a new piece of hardware requires a great launch lineup; they delayed the Vita release for the express purpose of having the "biggest launch software lineup" in the PlayStation brand's history. If you put all this together, I don't think anybody should be shocked if find out that The Last Guardian has become a next-gen project. http://www.psxextreme.com/ps4-news/85.html yea but come and say something....just keeping mum over this seems so disrespecting towards fans who have been waiting and waiting and....
