IshmaelIsBack Posted December 4, 2008 Report Share Posted December 4, 2008 Finished this title early morning , truly Breathtaking experience. the lighting ( character and environment ) was very balanced throughout the game. the environment renders & the color palette are some of THE BEST this gen has seen by far. I don't wanna spoil on the story part but at some points I felt Elika quite annoying ( gameplay ). However The legendary series comes back with a bang. That depends on opinions after all.The sheer amount of gameplay which keeps you tuned in and never switch off your system is something I Loved here.I dont wanna go compare it either SOT , WW or T2T , but lets see some of the aspects.The story this time is somewhat better than what T2T offered and the screenplay as well.But the main aspect I loved WW is the dark way of portraying the Prince coupled with the Dahaka ( That is what you call f**king EPIC ) swallow my a*s every half hour and some Metal to please my ears. Oh yes , the musical score again , suits very well with the " THEME" of the title and get you hooked up. Oh , the beauty of the environment.How can I not talk about the visuals when me being a huge visual wh0re ? I seriously dunno the poly count of the real-time renders but I can't just cant use any other word than " BEAUTIFUL " as I see it again & again.The color palette does offer variations according to the surrounding but is soothing at moments ( fable 1 & 2 reference to be noted ).The particle effects are well done indeed ( LOL sorry , it doesnt even come close to KZ2's so Killz0wned whores can relax , including me but still very well done ). I didn't face any glitches in this version My amp recognized a ( in-game ) Dolby Digital Surround encoding and it was very well mixed as well keeping this generation standards , but doesnt come close to the best out there - COD4 , Metal Gear Solid 4 & Burnout Paradise Platformaniacs will be satisfied ( that's the right word as it doesnt do some outta the extraordinary that has not been done in the past ) and I for one been a wh0re in the genre since the old times.I wouldnt rate it anywhere near the LOK Soul Reaver series ( anyone played it here ? That's undoubtedly THE BEST of the genre out there ) , TR 1 , 3 & 4 or any other but it well serves , series vets are in for a f**king blast.
