The voice actor for Drake and Prince is the same guy.

i figured that out myself but didn't know the fact itslef. when i kept hearing that voice i knew i had heard that somewhere and bingo Nathan Drake comes to my mind. thanks a lot for the info CC.. i feel so good for myself now :D

and +1000 respect to Tyler for loving this game so much. i enjoyed it to the core. now i m playing it a 2nd time. its really cool. esp the music that u mentioned, i love it too. even now its running in my mind. and Elika is the best co-character i ve ever played in any game in my f**king life. she helps Prince from dying abt a million times, she's a good person at heart, is very gentle and is beautiful like a Princess should be. and i loved the ending more than anything. it was a very cool and really touching ending.

sacrificing all the cause of game just for her... just too touching

IMO its a sin not to love the new PoP esp when it looks and plays so good, and got a gr8 story...

Prince of Persia's DLC to Bring Three More Hours of Gaming

custom_1233270188122_POPDLC_S_003.jpg

That new Prince of Persia downloadable content planned for a Feb. 26 release will add three new hours of gameplay to the title, Ubisoft said today.

The still-unpriced-content will continue the story of the Price and Elika through the Underground Palace. Other pack goodies include:

New Power: Energize – Reconstruct destroyed areas of the environment to create a path and rush through it before it vanishes.

New high pace: The new trap challenge – The Prince and Elika will face more cunning foes, cleverer traps and level design, adding more to the difficulty level in over 3 hours of gameplay.

New Attack: Sprinting Clash – A duel move that lets you or the enemy trigger a sprint attack, charging towards each other, clashing your weapons fiercely.

New Unlockable Skins: Finish the game and unlock exclusively, from the early development of the game, the Prototype characters of the Prince and Elika.

3 more hours sound great.

and that new power seems pretty fun, it'll keep running through those recreated area's fun and fast paced as it will be falling apart right behind you.

they're making it harder and adding new traps...sounds like fun

ps. the prototype skins were available previously also if you collected 1001 light seeds

although i hate the concept of releasing DLCs so soon after a game's launch (they could have just included it in the main disc  ), i'll be getting this DLC for sure....i loved PoP (enough to sell my standard edition and hunt for a limited one)

only thing being, this would be region locked...any PAL PoP owner up for game-share?

^^ No it will be an epilogue to the game. The story was obviously envisioned with multiple sequels in mind.

I personally feel the game should have been left where it ended, despite being a cliffhanger the ending was fitting. The final scene gave me chills...

aiiright people, finished this game. but the ending...just don't make any sense :)

can any1 please explain the ending? and what happens to that donkey?

we do all the sh*t to put arihiman back to the prison(temple) and then in the end just for LOVE we set him free? WTF! the ending ain't satisfactory people, talk about ending, SoTC was brilliant, with that being said, either Elika would have been alive with no powers and all or just let her die god dammit(i hate to say this, but for the game and it's situation and all the sh*t we go through, i have to say this) and this as a prince of persia game(which we all know previously) is TEH SUXETH. i mean collecting this and that, it's just not prince of persia style(the old PoP style i mean to say) but...but if they wanted to launch a new action adventure/explorer type game this is a good at it but then why name it PoP, why didn't they launch it using different name :threatenlumber:

now with that all being said, PoP is done, it's all gone, this is start of the new series either that or RIP PoP, but seriously they should launched this game under new name, it just mocks previous PoP in every aspect dammit. f u ubisoft for ruining another great game.

GFX, sound score, gameplay(prince movements are fluid) i would rate 2/5 but 0.5 extra for Elika coz i love :wink2: her so it's 2.5/5.

we needZ SoTC, people, not a SoTC wannabe game.

@pushy - are you out of your mind!!! POP is a fantastic game and as usual takes the genre forward.

Platforming: a lot of ppl crib about Elika saving the prince when he falls. that seems to dumb down the gameplay initially, but in later levels when the platforming combos are large and the chance of mistakes are very high that auto save makes a lot of sense. else players would just reload anyway - developers just ensure that a few button presses are skipped. and the platforming is a joy to pull off for the long sequences. the light seed collection is fine - and it sort of ties in with the story towards the end - and ensures that you need to pull off some good acrobatics.

Combat - this is straight from the old old prince - one enemy at a time. the combat is not easy - each takes a few minutes to take down at least.

Story - stop cribbing. It's better than most things that pass off for stories in video games. It's not as convoluted as the second trilogy (Dahaka anyone?).

I actually loved the dialogue throughout the game - the banter, the flirting, and the whole "make your own destiny" theme. and the story is nice if you think about it - the presentation got screwed up a bit. Elika dies and the land falls to Ahriman. The cycle starts again even after Prince and Elika try and save the land. That's the way of life - there's no getting around fate. The last "Why" and the prince walking away with Elika is very nice

And what's this obsession with a donkey? Sam won't be pleased

And what's this obsession with a donkey? Sam won't be pleased :(

LOL!! Hehehe...

and I think he would be still searching for the donkey in the sequel as well, if there would be one ever....

Well, I loved the game and the ending as well...

atleast for me, it didn't feel right when Elika died...and I felt the end was justified...May be because, I haven't played the earlier games such as SOT etc..Anyways, if u need to make a sequel, u would need a villain, ain't it :chair:

i have given the scores in comparison to previous PoP's, and why because they have launched this game under it's name. As a new game(again which i say, why launch it under PoP name?) it's a good one, but still heavy emphasis from SoTC just mars the experience(of course for those who have played/completed SoTC, for new gamers it will attract no doubt)and as i said the only elements that i could give score were GFX, gameplay, sound. Platforming is EASY accept it, not worth the PoP type puzzles, for me the story is OK-ish type and ENDING for me is not upto the mark but it gives room for expanding the game for a sequel.

even the Water puzzle which most of u guys said is good, is not even compareable to the puzzles u get in previous PoP games.

and as for the donkey, i just wanna know if it survived or not, maybe in the sequel they would let us know :( (if there's ever going to be any sequel)

wanna sell it to me :chair: ?

i wouldn't sell a borrowed game, would i :bash:

the world is at stake and he is worried about the donkey .. :chair:

@ pushy .. to cheer u up, the donkey may play a part in the sequel ... maybe it will be one of the bosses which falls to the dark side to get revenge against the prince for making him carry all th egold .. :(

pushy, if you didn't like the ending you seem to have missed the point of the story. It's simple...

the Prince falls in love with Elika.

The ending has more of an emotional impact considering that you have just

undone everything you had done up to that point. The character of Elika was created in such a way that it was meant to grow on you and you actually start caring about her. The Prince actions in the end seem totally justified.

The ending was much more satisfying and different from other games. It just wouldn't have been the same if it was just about killing the bad guy and saving the world.

Maybe you didn't talk to Elika enough...

The gameplay was easy as it could get, I admit it. But again, I loved that. I could just sit back, relax and take in the amazing environments while seamlessly traversing otherwise impossible obstacles.

I've played all the past POP games but I never really liked the series. The platforming was too frustrating for me at times and the combat was never up to the mark. With this reboot however I am quite excited about where it goes next.
