jackhammer06
Here's my take on the 2nd trilogy:SOT - Obviously the biggest impact to gameplay with the crazy acrobatics and rewind functionality. But the combat was not polished enough. After playing WW, SOT combat is impossible to do. Also, punishing difficulty from what I remember. WW - What was UBI thinking? Babes with metal up their unmentionables, Prince abusing away to glory, and heavy metal!!! But the game survived because of brilliant combat design, crazy a*s acrobatics which can put Lara Croft to shame, and a pretty decent storyline. Also I am in love with Ma'm Bellucci. TT - The best balance compared to the other two. The story came full circle. The boss fights were simply fantastic, and who can forget the chariot ride. Also Dark Prince rules, and can give Kratos competition in the horde-busting championship. Yeah....i remember those days............The female enemies moaning,"hit me harder!!hit me deeper!! :.........BTW,who can forget those DAHAKA chases??? nash
I remember the most annoying boss fight for me in TT was the one where you gotta fight those 2 dudes at one time. ARGH!

nash
Which is why I'm tired of playing PoP games cos they have to shove in some highly annoying sht in there all the time. I'm hoping the new one's gonna be different in that respect.

jackhammer06
Yup Elika is supposed to be like an automatic save system I don't think introduction of elika will introduce any groundbreaking gaameplay elements in the game from the looks of it....if it does, win for all us fans.... nash
Yup Elika is supposed to be like an automatic save system I thought she's there to stop you from dying just like the Sands of Time...only prettier. Also from some of the gameplay videos I saw she's there all the time holding your hand, bringing you back from the brink of death making me think that the game may become way too easy. Bulovski
The fights seem to be tough. I hope the platforming elements are not too easy. Remember the ninja babes in WW whom the Prince had to fight on the beams. That was fun.

Yeah you never die during platforming but that doesn't make it easy. Elika will pull you out before you hit the ground, but she won't put you back on the next platform, she'll take you right back to the last checkpoint. So you'll have to redo everything just like if you had died and respawned, they just removed the "you are dead"/"game over"/"do you wish to continue?" screens for seamless continuation. Tyler
^^ That's a very welcome feature for platforming-n00bs like me.

Is it the same principle during combat as well?
ctrl_alt_del
Loved the part where the Prince turns around to grab Elika in his arms and then gently lower her to the ground and continue on their way.
CarbonCore
Is it the same principle during combat as well? Haven't seen him get killed in the combat, but the developers have said that there's no game over screen in the game, so I guess it'll work the same way. She'll pull you out of the 'darkness' and you restart the fight from the beginning.
