No, I have not been following Kamals movies. The last movie I saw of his was swathimuthyalam around 18 years ago.

Well, the court is going to listen to both sides and come to a decision. If the judge feels that muslims have been depicted in poor light, then surely the ban will stand. The trailer did show him shooting a lot of white bearded dudes in white caps, in an afghanistan like setting. Hope thats not what these muslim groups are basing their case on.

:) You'll never get the context watching a trailer! Anyway, I'm planning to go to Andhra Pradesh to watch the movie this weekend. I'm sure they'll do everything to delay the release here in Chennai. :wallbash:

Knowing how fringe extremist / right-wing organizations operate, won't be surprised if this is the reason.

Also I think that the idiom "to judge a book by its cover applies here."

Can we get back to the OT.

 diehard kamal fan then? Going from one state to the next to watch it. Down here in Karnataka, our film industry is so pathetic censor board dont care if they show religiously offensive stuff in the movies or not. They know no one is gonna watch the movies anyway

Ofcourse! :) You know, you can cross AP border from Chennai in just about an hour.. I heard people say that the tamil version is released somewhere near Tada. The theater quality will be sub-standard. But, heck, who cares? :D
