But how much customizable it is . no idea as witcher 2 was not available in ps . how mages fight with sword

It does not follow the BIOWARE RPG formula, your character is fixed but the plot and world is much more believable.

And Geralt is not a Mage, he is a Witcher.

Protagonist cannot be customized regarding race or face like dai or skyrim.. geralt is pre rendered. You role play as a mutant to fight monsters and make decisions in the situaton that the game will throw you into. ...Customisation can be done regarding chest armors, boots, gloves, trousers.. Weapons and armors can be crafted, bombs, potions and elixirs created through alchemy can be used in battles.

beards and hairstyles can be applied from barber.

If any one has played DA Origin they can expect such kind of story quality and deep characters sometime even better. Thing is.. it is unlike any bioware white/black choices. its way more organic. play it and you will understand.

It's different from both DAI and Skyrim..There are no classes or character customization in W3...You play a preset character called Geralt of Rivia (most badass video game protagonist ever) :P

Not true...There are choices and consequences in every DA game including DA2 and DAI...Have you played all 3 DA games?

Yes, that Mass Effect end-game choice and Dragon Age II retcon of an ending.

No offence to anyone but following ORIGIN's (and the AWAKENING expansion), all following BIOWARE title's have had sh*t for endings.

Mass Effect was a snoozefest that I still have not gotten around to playing after the first one bored me to death.

Mass effect was pretty good. Lot better than DA for me. DA setting was pretty generic, only characters made it interesting. While ME setting was quite fresh take on space opera. I used to read codex and browsed around wiki a lot. Even read few comics. Most of the lore has pretty detailed explanations, espically liked stuff about geth and AI. They put a lot of thought into it and made one of the best scifi worlds. Well the story didn't end too well though, but that was only a 30 mins of bad ending sequence in whole lot of 100+ hours I spent into it. My only -ve was Shepard didn't get a happy ending after going though lots if hardships.

Im not too keen about chooses too, and i dont mind if my choices dont make any impact in story as long as the story itself is engaging. I liked playing as good Shepard and they characterized him/her very well throughout.

^ Yeah! My biggest complaint wasn't the amount of detail they put in their.

I just did not get hooked with the whole premise, it was typical BIOWARE in a different skin.

lol hahahahahaha u guys should replay Dragon Age Origins and mass effect trilogy (ME 3 ending sucked but the journey was awesome!!) Choices do have consequences in those worlds.

But lets not derail this thread with a CDPR vs Bioware. All of us have played it and each of us have a different experiences, positive or not!!

Now share some your Witcher game experiences!!

To those who have not played previous witcher games....then you are missing out on 2 great RPGs...a must play!!

sharing from the experience of playing both W1 and W2 games... CDPR may not be the best studio with stable game or easy mechanics, but their story and decision making mechanism is epic. The way they tell their story and pull you into it,is amazing...just amazing. Never hav i felt that the game was stupid or silly. never in the world did i feel anything was generic. amazing atmosphere and gritty. If any one of you remember the origin story in DAO taking dwarf noble, and how the plot progresses , one can easily understand witcher story telling capability.
