This code is for backup purposes and the game need not be downloaded from GoG. This will give access to the digital versions of the soundtrack, comics, wallpapers etc. from GoG (along with the physical extra goodies we will get). Â Regarding internet requirement, if we have a pre-production disc, a small file will be downloaded during installation to enable play. For this internet will be required (not GoG account). This is a security feature implemented to prevent game leak during production stage. This security download requirement will not be there if the disc has been produced after launch. Â GoG code that we get need not be redeemed in order to install or play the game. However, for the physical buyer to get access to the 16 free DLCs and other software updates, the GoG code does need to be redeemed and we can only get those updates from GoG (makes sense I guess, to prevent people from just buying the physical game and selling the GoG code as a second copy of the game).
